Instructional Video regarding all the Basics of the National Football League, including Teams, Format, Schedule and more! (Some logos and images are property of the NFL)
A season in fotball is 10 months.. from august to mai-june (in england at least) which is for that countries championship which is counted with who holds the most points in that 10 month season. As they play these games they also have the national cups + the champions league of the europa league, inside that 10 month window. In NFL it seems like they only play for 6 months and then rest for 6? XD.@@riccorich
Im not American, Are the conferences not based on geographic positions(E.g West and East) like NBA?, because I See 49ers and NY Giants in the same conf
That's correct, conferences are not based off geography, however, the divisions within the conferences are based off geography. For example, all of the teams in the AFC West and NFC West are generally teams in the western US
@@mukwonagofootball5889 Who we play, why we play some and others not I am not disrespecting the nfl i just believe such a confusing format is unnecessary especially the conference for example Lets say the best two teams which are both dominating nfl is in the same conference and they are always in their respective conference final and the winner usally dominated the super bowl it's kinda messed up i believ every team should be in one conference example last champions league final was both between English clubs and both dominate some oversee teams its kinda unfair one conference is fare enough If everyone play everyone at least once it's easier to predict the champion maybe imagine a team is 30 plus points clear of 2nd place teams if everyone was in one conference thats a better way to decide champion i aren't saying the nfl should work like that i just feel like they could have made a better format
@@chelno5880 football is a pretty violet game if we had 32 games in a season plus the playoffs then there would be so many injuries which would not make the game fun to watch, the game is already pretty distrctive to players bodies enough
Yeah once the Super Bowl is over in early February, the following regular season doesn't begin until early September. So it's basically a 7 month offseason
Perfect explanation, thank you!!
May God bless you man, until now do I learn this :)
Why do they have such a short regular season? All other major leagues play a lot more games and (soccer) championships in Europe are also much longer.
I guess it's just cuz American football is such a violent/destructive sport, you can't really play a ton or everyone would be injured
European soccer league have all those other competitions in the calendar which stretches the season.

The technical term is Gridiron Football, just like Rugby Football and Association Football
You had the opportunity to get a purple or black Lamar Jackson jersey and you got…white. SMH. Love it though

While mostly they are divided by geography within divisions, there are some odd ones that are there due to rivalries and old division boundaries.
so NFl only plays during regular season? is there no games for 6 months?
More like five because of preseason
Watched 10 times and still can't understand why can't they have a simple format like the real football(i refuse to call it soccer)
In my opinion, it makes things a lot more interesting
@@im_max_i_guess yeh your opinion the format is just really confusing i still can't understand
