Well with enough time, effort, soul searching, spiritual connecting, and inner work.. yes it can. I'm 26 years of age.. the exact age Alan Wilson of Canned Heat was at the time of Woodstock 1969, and people all the time tell me I could have lived back then and that I'm an Old Soul not a Poser..Those people include Muruga Booker who was Tim Hardin's Drummer at Woodstock and he would tell me all the time that I got it right and that I'm truly blessed because I continue to spread the message, embrace/embody the life-style, and use the philosophy that his generation did .. Plus Ticia Agri who was Michael Lang's Assistant once told me because of the time and effort to spiritually connect with Woodstock, opening my mind to embracing conscientious awareness, getting to know to the Beautiful People who attended & performed at Woodstock, understanding why it happened, and the Message of Woodstock.. that I probably know more about than anyone who was there haha.. When she told me this I was surprised because I wasn't even born yet for 1 and 2.. I understand why she said it and wasn't just because of my time and effort to connect with it all.. but because of the fact she sees that Version of herself from 1969 in me.. Idk about anyone else.. but to me.., that's 2 Of The Greatest Honors that I or anyone could receive from 2 Woodstock Attendees that are still living and breathing The Spirit Of Woodstock till this day :)
A salors used to buy LPs in Japan and sell it in Russia even never know which LP is worth to buy abroad for sale in Russia. That was exactly whatl I was actually looking for myself at my 23 years young 😅 As a Russian, a student in Soviet Russia, 1973. I am sure you know I still keep this LP at my collection in 2024. That thousand yard stare man haha. I've noticed a few things about this: - He's probably exhausted since he came at the start, and this is Day 3 (the rain day) I believe too! - That drummer is fantastic - but GOD DAMN he is without a doubt in my mind on Crank/Cocaine he's flyin higher than his arms are fast! Plus as an ex user - his bug eyes and chewing his mouth off were a dead giveaway Makes you wonder how many people were on a darker frequency and said "lets just stay up on crank for the ENTIRE festival" haha HAD to of been a few
Barry and David influenced my guitar learning... I first heard them when I was just 7 in 1973... All of the guitar players on the Woodstock album influenced me, as did the Monterey Pop album.(it took me another 10 years to see the films!
This is the first time that I've really listened to this song. I just love it! It's so electric and fiery and so psychedelic! Guitar and organ couldn't possibly sound any better and the rolls that he's ripping on the drums are so fast and amazing! I've got to learn how to play this song.
I find it very sad they attempted a second woodstock in 99 and it fell flat on its face with shitty nu metal bands headlining. A total embarrassment 🤦♂️
@@tastemaker_87 They even tried a 50 th anniversary one back in 19 and that didnt even get off the ground, it was just far too long ago and too different of a time period to make it work again. Also so many had passed away at this point. The line up was mostly full of singers who had nothing to do with Woodstock . It was better to just let the memory of different time live on .

My parents were squares and wouldn't let me hitchhike to see Woodstock... I was three years old at the time but I'm still pissed about it.😂
Omgosh, 3 yrs old..too outrageous
🕺
Dude...thats horrible
Rock and soul great combination
The 60s had a Vibe that just can not be replicated today . You can hear it in the Music . And see it on the faces of those that lived it .
no vibe from any era can ever be replicated... but yes the 60s were very special indeed
Dave Brewer: Very true. People had souls then.

So true ..... music today isn't like back then ... music back then had heart . Music today lacks heart
This and Jefferson Airplane and several others are the sound of 60s San Francisco to me.
I played the heck out of this record when I was fifteen. I wanted it to be 1969 so badly, but I was stuck in 1985.

One of the most memorable performances. A great time when people had souls and a lot of them.
People had alot of souls 😀
