That 661 seems to be running alot better then the shit box one i just picked up today won't start just floods it self out more gas on the ground then in the carb
I have had terrible luck from the 661c, 4 in 3 years can't get the boss to buy anything else. Used to get 2 years + from a 066 can't get 1 out of the new ones.
Thanks for getting back, they seem to have become very, ?, popular but I also saw mention of crankcase problems around the bar studs. I suppose they must be good if after your issues you still took another. I do like your steady style !
@@michellepugh2859 1:50 stihl hp ultra or equivalent fully synthetic 2T oil. No need to mix a more oil biased ratio, modern fully synthetic oil has plenty of lubricative capacity.
Nice timber but putting the wastecut on the log not on the stump? No gloves no wedges no safety gear never look up into the tree incredible glad his life and medical ins is paid up in full
NJ Blanchard the waste cut as you call it is outside the lumber radius the wedges are on the dozer and the only time I've been hurt in 25 years on the job a set of chaps caused it
Glad to see some videos from East Tn, I live in Maryville TN
You made that look easy.
That is how it's done
Good work with a big Stihl greetings from România

Nice...
Nice steady work, what issues did you have with the previous 661s you had ?
after about a month they had problems starting once hot. Both burned out at least one coil pack and one scattered the Piston after a year

outinthewood not my choice boss is a Stihl man I loved the 066 and 660 but I'd rather have a 395 husky than the 661
Did good jib. Not many on UA-cam can actually cut.
about how many board feet in that tree?
1600-1800
Nice fell! What chain do you use ?
Mart that's still 50 gauge 3/8 pitch round ground full chisel cause it came with the saw normally I run Oregon full chisel
stupid Auto correct Stihl
In softwood i also run Stihl RS full chisel. Cuts fast. I too have the 661c with a 24'' bar.
What mix do you run and which ratio?

Where are you located in east Tennessee? I'm between Rogersville and Kingsport. I need someone to cut a little timber for me soon.
Matt Agee we're north of Knoxville in Anderson county right now. How much timber are you needing cut?
I have about 80 acres but I'm not going to cut it all right now.
I work in brimstone. You know where that is
Don't mean to rain on your parade all it takes is once, and once is once to often stay safe
