I love the 2nd for the desired butterfly look but the first looks so pretty and perfect for the outside braids.

I think the second one looks easier but the first braid look a little more polished. It could be because it’s smaller though…. Thanks so much!!

I think the 2nd method is best as i see it ceover the inside braid completely unlike other braiders having a hard time covering the under braid. Good job!

Not only extention gives you a grip but also by using extentions makes the hair hold for a long time because if ur not using any extentions then when you start do the feed in braids after a week or so it will all loose because there's no grip and the extentions is what helps make the style lasting common sense tells a sensible person that I'm not a stylist but these important facts I know without anyone telling me anyway its a very cute hairstyle that I'd rock at least once every month with of course different colors 😊❤

The second braid looks more uniform or even throughout the braid. I love that one the most. Although I like the overall braid on the first one...the start of the braids look to skinny compared to the rest of the braid. Beautiful style great work!

I’ve been doing pancaked (distressed) braids for 10 years, and I always prefer to pancake as I go, it puts less tension on the hair, and you get done quicker.
