Also the fact they don't go on the floor lol, they go on the table. At least she will know now. Also I have never had one at Thanksgiving like I've seen in movies lol
The “horn basket” is a cornucopia, it’s used as a thanksgiving decoration, generally as a centerpiece on a table. I didn’t know the reason until I just looked it up but google says, “a symbol of plenty consisting of a goat's horn overflowing with flowers, fruit, and corn”
Ambryn the corn pumpkin, and other gourd/squashes are all fall harvest foods, and are popular foods during thanksgiving. They represent the plenty of the harvest.
i only knew what it was because i looked up 'cornucopia' when i read 'the hunger games' a few years ago, but how cute was 'maybe you use it to keep your onions low to the ground?'
The pointed basket you were asking about is called a cornucopia. It’s a traditional centerpiece for American thanksgiving usually with vegetables and flowers inside as a symbolic decoration. Most American kids will draw pictures of them in grade school when they’re learning about thanksgiving but I’ve never known anyone to actually have one. I think it’s an older tradition
I disagree myself with the abundance of decorative items being in excess art - I get bored of using the same items for Christmas in every gameplay, atleast now we can spice it up a bit ☺️
The horn is a cornucopia (I don't know if I spelled that right). It's something that's like a traditional thing in the United States but idk about other places
The “weird horn thing” is called a cornucopia and although I’m not sure what it’s supposed to represent the fruit is normally fake and most of time (in America at least) it’s used for decor during Thanksgiving.... also hi
It's also called a horn of plenty, and the contents are infinite. There are references to this that go back on history to ancient times. There are also biblical references.
@@AgentDigits doesn't that go with anything though? I mean people migrate places and bring their traditions with them all the time. So whether it be the Indians or the English that set that as a symbol someone came from Greece at one point. I've actually never heard where it came from or that it was a peace symbol before. I always thought that it was supposed to symbolize a good abundant harvest year, myself. But I don't really know much about them because my family doesn't really do that even though we're Americans. Although, if Germans and polish people don't have that as traditions, I can see why we don't beings that is where my lineage comes from.
I have been binge watching all of these! I should watch Samaj's videos next even though it would be basically the same thing XD. I am soooo excited! Everything looks beautiful and I love the slate/stone/wood mesh the style of the furniture is! It's so modern and sleek, I love it so much! Thanks for uploading these vids, Deli! Can't wait for that new Let's Play and for getting my hands on this on Friday!
deli the weird horn thing is a cornucopia! Its a decoration Americans use for thanksgiving and its a symbol of plenty and abundance. The horn basket is supposed to resemble a goats horn or something like that. Also that candlestick with the several candles that you really liked- i’m pretty sure thats supposed to be a menorah, used during the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah (which is around the same time as Christmas, usually). I love this video and im looking forward to all of your amazing builds with the new stuff!
The sims is getting me through my first year high school and lockdown.I got sims 1 year ago and recently got my first pack cats and dogs.Seasons is definitely my next one and I love ur vids deli
23:04 that basket in America is for thanksgiving. We put it on the dinning room table and it's usually full of fake food. Idk it's just a cute decoration, but yes it doesn't go on the floor😂😂💞
I love how deli is playing with her graphics on ultra and has every pack and I’m over here on medium and it still lags when my house is built in a basement 😂😂😂😂
Do you know if the ice rink can be brought indoors? So that it makes sense in all seasons? also, can it go in a basement? if it's in a mansion, that would be awesome!
Fazzbear Productions i hope you get to enjoy your experience it’s AMAZING to have all the packs personally I feel complete !! And the experience is Sooo precious sooo enjoy it ! 🌈❤️😅
Thrilled about Sims 4 Seasons, it's finally coming to console in November and this video was a good watch to give me an idea what to expect as long as they bring everything to console that they have on PC.
I've been on a Sims watch fest because I got a PS4 and I'm getting the Sims and I'm thinking on which expansions to get... So far I think I'm getting seasons, pets, and Parenthood. Added it up and its over 110 dollars. Rip my allowance.
Thank you so much for this video!!!! I'm so hyped about it!! The furnitures are all amazing and I esp love that glass shower, the coffee table, the decorative plants! And maybe now with the new overhauled gardening system and new gardening decor/stuff I will get serious with gardening😂
Hey Deli, that decor horn basket with veggies is called a cornucopia. It is traditional used in American during thanksgiving as a symbol of abundance. It is typically depicted overflowing with fruit, flowers and veggies. most Americans don't actually have one but an image of one can be printed on things like napkins, tablecloths or paper plates. and sometimes kids will do art projects about them.
i really like all the decorations! i like when they add things that provide depth and feeling to the game. and i also love that your sims can have hanukkah decorations! its so nice how on that simlish banner they took the time to make one swatch look a little more like hebrew. im so excited for this pack, you can just see all the love they put into it so clearly!
Ummm one thing... did they talk to anyone Jewish before making those menorahs (the candlesticks with nine arms?) I’m so in love with Seasons and this pack, but come on, with so much Christmas stuff I was looking forward to anything else at least being accurate. Just a bit of education but all the eight arms need to be shorter than one taller, (aka all equal height with one taller not a bunch of varying heights) to represent the eight days and the one who lights it every day (hecka oversimplified) but come on... they didn’t know this? Is it dumb that I’m bothered by this? maybe. And am I looking forward to this pack? Of course! But the little details are what makes the Sims games fun and they didn’t get it right. :( idk it bothers me a lot
Gwen Paker I think so, don’t get me wrong I’m happy about any representation but I think accurate representation matters too especially with so much (wonderful! All the items are beautiful!) Christmas stuff that a lot of fans (literally anyone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas) won’t use. It’s just these little details that make sims games so fun and they didn’t bother getting it right. Which just feels a bit disappointing. Just wanna stress I LOVE THE SIMS and if they got it right then, why not now?
Michelle M, being Jewish myself, it does annoy me. Especially that in the holiday pack they called it a menorah NOT a hannukia, which when you look at the definition of menorah it would make sense, but to the Jewish people a menorah is a candelabra with only 7 branches. I’m still glad that you can have traditions like lighting the hannukia when making a custom holiday.
I love how u can use things from other packs to enhance your experience with each season. For example, if u have Backyard Stuff, u can use the slip & slide, drink trays, and decorations for summer time, or if u have Spooky Stuff, u can decorate for Halloween and carve pumpkins as a tradition.
I've watched all the review videos til end :) Love ya Deli, this pack is absolutely goals. And I forgot to comment that under the CAS Video, my Butt looks weird in playsuits too, you're not the only one ^^
I’ve been watching all of your videos back to back. Love them. They’re so much fun and you’re adorable. I’m so excited for seasons. I’m a long time simmer too. And after watching all of your videos and James’ videos I’m even more excited to play.
I have had the sims since March 19 I got it on my birthday but I'm getting seasons finally its been So long!!! I do have cats&dogs laundry day and parent hood But I'm really happy and ecstatic:). My gr8 grandma is getting it for me as a early Christmas gift I a mb so happy I will flip outside the window at the YMCA and play sims non stop. I really cant even think straight right know. I have to get threw thanksgiving and I will be good bye If u get here l💜u
It’s honestly so disappointing, people that play on computers, laptops ect get so much better stuff than us console players, all I want is EVERYTHING but no, also please add more console game play for us
Playmobil City but that’s super annoying, and there are heaps of packs we don’t have yet but pc players do, we’re so far behind on the packs and it’s ridiculous
Playmobil City , i agree. Making these in detail must be hard but the console players aren’t getting attention, they should make it fair and word as hard as they can to give everyone the packs equally
Love this! The horn thing is called a cornucopia. It’s a fall thing in the US. In my family, it was filled with fake veggies around thanksgiving & used as a decoration item on the dining room table. Love you & all your Sims videos Deli! ❤️
The horn thing is a thanksgiving centerpiece for your table that has different orange red and yellow items typically plants, like pine cones, flowers, tiny pumpkins, etc
That object you didn't recognize is a Cornucopia (horn of plenty), it's from Greek Mythology and is a symbol of abundance and fortune as it's always full of fruits (or milk, or honey, so foods associated with abundance and wealth) ^^ And I think it's also used in Thanksgiving but I'm not sure cuz I'm European ^^
Hi, Deli! A couple things.. in America we do decorate with pumpkins during the fall(not everyone but a lot of people do). Also, I agree with what you said regarding the decorations only being used for one holiday. However, you could leave the decorations up for an entire season. Usually people decorate for Christmas and leave the decorations up for the entire season. Hope this helps in anyway! Love ya!💕
the basket with fruits and vegetables is a cornucopia, it’s a decorative thing to put on tables (i dont know the actual use) but my family uses it as a table centerpiece around thanksgiving time
Hi Deligracy! I absolutely LOOOVE your channel, especially your LPs. I was wondering if the next time you do a build/buy or a CAS review, would you mind showing the pre-made rooms and styled outfits? These are things I really like to see. I can't wait to watch your channel grow ❤️
Hi deli I just wanted to say thank you for making these videos when I am in hospital (I am in hospital right now) thank you sooo much you have made me happy and so excited just to watch you you make me happy when I get bad news from the doctor so I would just quickly go to my bed and watch you and my worries would just flow away thank you soooo muck deli (my name is Katelin I am 12 and I have dvt blood clots) Thank you again x
In America That basket of veggies and leaves is a gourd and it is used as a centerpiece for thanksgiving and a lot of the time they can baskets to represent an actual gourd (a plant).
I got so excited when I saw pumpkins! In the US people make kind of like pumpkin arrangements on their porch, and decorate with little gourds inside! In the Fall I just want pumpkins EVERYWHERE
love love love the wooden square coffee table! I'm so excited for this pack! also the soldiers are nutcrackers :') very common christmas decoration in canada, not sure why :p I had no idea austrailia didn't celebrate thanksgiving! crazy how different countries can be.
Tarshish Jupiter exactly! That’s the reason they gave during the livestream. And they are recolours so if you do have spooky stuff you won’t have two of the same item in the game.
LilyIsNotCool but they aren’t they have different colors and the sims didn’t want to go under fire for people thinking they would HAVE to have the Spooky Stuff Pack to play with spooky holidays since they wanted all major holidays to have decorations because I bet if they didn’t add it some people would have been like oh it’s like My First Pet Stuff again
23:08 they're cornucopias and are traditional to Thanksgiving in America! Some people buy them at the store, bit we make our own every year, you fill them with Indian corn, mini pumpkins, pinecones, twigs, gords, fake leafs, fake berries, and cute fall things like acorns and stuff
You’re getting me excited for seasons! Can you (or anyone, really) recommend a bundle pack that would go with this since they’re on sale right now? I have the city living bundle but I’d like to buy another bundle pack
The "vegetables in the weird horn baskets" is a cornucopia. In America (my family at least) we put those in the center of our tables during Thanksgiving. There just really for decorations.
I know how to fix the jagged edges for all objects if you have an NVIDIA graphics card! After the steps to fix, I'll try to explain what's happening and why. - Right-click on your desktop and click on NVIDIA Control Panel - Once the control panel opens, find Manage 3D Settings in the list in the left pane - Switch over to the Program Settings tab in the main panel - Choose "Sims 4 (ts4.exe)" from the drop-down menu - Find "Antialiasing - Transparency" and change it to "8x (supersample)" - Click "Apply" and fire up The Sims 4! You can choose the other multiples (2x or 4x) if you find that 8x slows your game down too much. In the rare chance that this causes the game to become unstable, you can undo all of this by changing the "Antialiasing - Transparency" option back to the default "Use Global Settings" option. I haven't tested it extensively, but I can't imagine it would crash your game... but it might slow it down if you have a lot of specific types of objects on your lot. Here's the reason for the furry pixellated edges! Anytime you see those jagged, aliased edges ("jaggies") on things like decals around the edges is because of the antialiasing settings. No antialiasing (or "edge smoothing") is applied to tranparency on textures at all. All of the decals in the games are made of a texture that have alpha channels. That's just a fancy way of saying an image that contains transparency information, ie what parts of the graphic should be visible or opaque. Without antialiasing, or the act of removing aliasing (rough, jagged, furry edges), all of all the polygons and geometry you see in the game would look just as bad. But they added a setting labelled as "Edge Smoothing" to enable antialiasing for geometry. For whatever reason, they don't offer the ability to turn on antialiasing for transparency in textures. It could be for performance reasons, or something that was just overlooked or deemed unnecessary by the developers. Who knows why. But they could add it as an option in a patch, perhaps. Maybe if we make enough of a stink about it :) Feel free to contact me if you want me to explain anything better, or help you understand it more if you want to do some sort of video tutorial on this or something. Apologies for the length of this comment!
I’m in on all of it Deli. I watched the livestream replay which took me to your recap video and then everything else you posted today. 😂 I am beyond excited for this pack.
Seasons was a big deal for me and made me fall in love with The Sims even more. Also back when I had the sims 2, I loved it some much, my dad got me my first pre-built PC, The computer lasted years. even survived being upgraded from window 98 to XP. Was sad I lost all my Sims 2 gameplay when the PC finally broke. but definitely was the best years of my life playing the sims 2 lol. can't wait to finally play seasons for Sims 4!
@ 23:04 That is a cornucopia or a horn of plenty it's a thanksgiving decoration. It symbolizes a bountiful harvest. its origin is in roman mythology, the horn was capable of producing whatever one desired.
“Vegetables in a weird horn basket” I was actually dying I had no idea other countries didn’t have cornucopias😂
CrazySimTheOne yah only America because of thanksgiving
You can know what they are through mythology
I was dying at that part😂😂 I was like um... cornucopia. I always forget other countries don’t do thanksgiving
Also the fact they don't go on the floor lol, they go on the table. At least she will know now. Also I have never had one at Thanksgiving like I've seen in movies lol
I definitely store all of my onions in a cornucopia.

😂Deli, I love your description of the cornucopia! Yeah, it's just decoration...the "horn of plenty" for harvest/Thanksgiving.
When you pulled out that glass & white dining table my eyes almost popped out of my head! 😍😍 Can't wait to have that in my game!
Mae Michelle I know right, it's exactly what I've been waiting for!!

9:02 that chair graphic I think matches that one creepy tree wallpaper! IM OBSESSED
There are white subway tiles in the game. They're in a black swatch in the catalog, but they have really nice white ones, i use them all the time!
As a side note, we don't typically use cornucopias in regular every day use. We just typically use them as Thanksgiving/fall decorations.
Lynsey Ellis We didn't have that in Germany lol
Lynsey Ellis not in Canada but I have seen them on telly specials
Chris S we have them in Canada. What are you talking about?
PianoDisneygal10 yeah that's what I meant but thanks for adding that
it would have been nice if the sides/front/back of the roof could be see-through too, instead of just the top
ellie I agree! X
You would have to use a different kind of roofing :)
ZeepeX Oh my lord good point, thanks
If you use a different type of roof it will be
ellie yup!
OMG that glass shower 😍😍
Love it! All the items in this pack are amazing! The swings though!
going through all of your videos one after another!!
Same 😏😅😂
Riley Millsap haha me too!! ❤️❤️😂
Riley Millsap same!
Welcome to Delis channel. When I discovered her I did the exact same thing.

Belle Valentine I think is was a peace sort of thing between the pilgrims and indians
It's also called a horn of plenty, and the contents are infinite. There are references to this that go back on history to ancient times. There are also biblical references.
Sometimes it represents fertility.
I think they originate from Greece...
So I don't get how they are tied to the pilgrims or natives. Is there any historical reasoning behind it?

Deli, I agree with you 200% about the furry edges of the decals.. they are the ONE reason why I never use the decals.
Omg I'm so in LOVE with that premade greenhouse you placed! It's just amazing, you can clearly see the Sims team put so much effort in this pack.

I just made a skating rink in my game, the walls just have to be tall to fit the top part of it.

Haha no worries!
In America That basket of veggies and leaves is a gourd and it is used as a centerpiece for thanksgiving and a lot of the time they can baskets to represent an actual gourd (a plant).
Oh my god a woohoo swing 🙊🙉🙈
what? there isn't a woohoo swing
Krystin Martens if you watch the video deli talks about how the swing isn’t a woohoo swing
I got so excited when I saw pumpkins! In the US people make kind of like pumpkin arrangements on their porch, and decorate with little gourds inside! In the Fall I just want pumpkins EVERYWHERE
R those LOL surprise dolls in the backroad (p.s I Love lol dolls)
I love how Deli pulled out the menorah 🕎 and said "these candles are so pretty I'm probably gonna use these a lot"
Earlyyy 😍 I am currently watching you ig stories haha 😍😂
love love love the wooden square coffee table! I'm so excited for this pack! also the soldiers are nutcrackers :') very common christmas decoration in canada, not sure why :p I had no idea austrailia didn't celebrate thanksgiving! crazy how different countries can be.
Cuuute!!!!! 💗💗💗
The weaved cone decoration with veggies inside is a cornucopia. It’s normally used in America for Thanksgiving.
I love the items a lot but I'm really annoyed they just put stuff from spooky stuff in this pack. Why not just make different Halloween decorations???
I think they did that so that people wouldn't feel like they had to buy the spooky stuff pack if they didn't want to.
First!!!
Liv's Vids not even close
your like 200th
You’re getting me excited for seasons!
Can you (or anyone, really) recommend a bundle pack that would go with this since they’re on sale right now? I have the city living bundle but I’d like to buy another bundle pack
I appreciate all of the festive stuff because a lot of it can stay up for the majority of the season!!
I appreciate the 3 videos you made about Seasons. Thank you.
17:51 my mom always has pumpkins and squash laying outside in the fall 😁
The "vegetables in the weird horn baskets" is a cornucopia. In America (my family at least) we put those in the center of our tables during Thanksgiving. There just really for decorations.
The “horn basket” is called a Cornucopia. They can be used as decorations for harvest or thanksgiving type holidays.

The “horn basket” is a cornucopia and it’s a common thing for American thanksgiving and it usually is a table decoration that you use as a centerpiece
I’ve watched all the seasons videos one after the other and it is making me SO excited for when it comes out 😍😍😍
I know how to fix the jagged edges for all objects if you have an NVIDIA graphics card! After the steps to fix, I'll try to explain what's happening and why.
- Right-click on your desktop and click on NVIDIA Control Panel
- Once the control panel opens, find Manage 3D Settings in the list in the left pane
- Switch over to the Program Settings tab in the main panel
- Choose "Sims 4 (ts4.exe)" from the drop-down menu
- Find "Antialiasing - Transparency" and change it to "8x (supersample)"
- Click "Apply" and fire up The Sims 4!
Maybe if we make enough of a stink about it :)
Feel free to contact me if you want me to explain anything better, or help you understand it more if you want to do some sort of video tutorial on this or something.
