This is some brilliant guitar work! The piece at the end of the solo is called The Masons Apron and it's a bitch to play but you nailed it! It just shows how great lizzys guitarists really were and how underrated they still are to this very day! This kinda music got overlooked back in the day coz it wasn't pop enough! What a pity! Always loved lizzy and always will! Well done man! Awesome job! Nice tee shirt as well! Keep on rockin!!!
You certainly do deserve credit because , guitar-wise, this was Gary Moore's baby and to the best of my knowledge he was the only Lizzy guitarist who could ever actually play it in it's totality as you have succeeded in doing !
Now aged 58,I grew up with Thin Lizzy, and has been a great fan ever since! Amazing how You nail their great guitar playing :-) Big Thank You, pleasure to look and listen to :-)
That was insane man! your the first guy I've seen to play that through...once Gary left even lizzy would leave out the middle section...Snowy White didn't even attempt! Super impressive man..maybe one day you could slow it down so we could learn.
As a life time Lizzy fan aged 55 i gotta say you are superb. note perfect ...tone perfect.. amazing to see and to listen to those tunes again is awesome.... thanks very much mate..
Fantastic job playing thru Gary and Scotts lead breaks. I've been reluctant to even try. I believe this is the most technically challenging Rock song ever recorded.
WOW !!!! You are doing the world a huge favor, keeping this music alive for those who did not get to hear it, the first time around. FANTASTIC JOB! and may God bless you,
Wow!! Absolutely nailed the super fast fiddly jig type part at the end of the lead break! I've been trying to learn that for years so I know how tough it is but you've utterly nailed it. Major respect!
Wow. You played both guitar parts to perfection. That was stunning. My brain can't even keep up with the notes never mind my fingers. Better version than some of the live Lizzie performances. Take a bow. 👏👏🎸🎶
Incredible!!! Hands down to you man, you simply nailed it!!! Maybe it's one of or even the hardest Lizzy song at guitar and you could get it, you're amazing!!!!
Just subscribed your channel is like wonderland thin lizzy were the only band for me in 1978 when I was 17 this makes me wanna get my les Paul out and turn on my Marshall 100w total I was feeling down and bored but you have given me a boost thanks man.
I've been watching this video for years now and it's still jaw dropping. I was curious though, have you ever thought of revisiting some of these older videos?
Dude absolutely killed it. I’ve been struggling with this song for 10 years 😢 watching this I know it can be done with lots of practice. Great job man. Very impressed.
Dude I watch all your videos I love Thin Lizzy I grew up in the 60s and 70s in Chicago and when Cindy came out me and my buddy who played guitar we used to sit in the basement and spin the records backwards just to try to learn these leads
I'm trying to learn the fast part of the solo since a couple of days pure out of interest (and I'm playing in a Lizzy tribute band too, so ..). Got to 65% speed and I'm beginning to struggle .. Respect for anyone who can play this at 100% ...Maybe someday I'll get there, but it will take weeks if not months if not another lifetime ..
What muscle memory can do is amazing. Already on 80% now after a week and going ... So heads up to everyone who is struggling (like me a week ago): practice will take you there eventually ..
How fantastic! You knocked me out! I couldn't play this in my highschool days(for 30 or more years ago!?). With your video,I will try to practice again, thanx!!
For seven minutes I was back in1979. I love it and so would Phil and Gary. Thank you.
RonniePeterson Thank you as always, Ronnie! It's an honor to be told that.
Best rendition of Lizzies best song, ever. Thank you for keeping the music alive. Rock on...

You could easily have passed an audition with Lizzy, absolutely brilliant
Oh boy, this is fantastic! The vibrato you have during the "Danny Boy"-solo (when you switched to the neck pickup) is top notch.
Fishbone Mash Hi, Fishbone Mash! Out of whole song, Danny Boy-section is my favorite. Thank you very much!!!
Sounded about the same as it did when I saw Brian and Scott do it in th'70's!
Great job son!
Did Brian Robertson & Scott Gorham , ever play this ?? I thought it was Gary Moore period ????
