I gotta say, my SISTERS contribute so much to our trade! As a steamfitter, seeing women in the field makes me happy! They are so much better at things I can barely do. From the excellent work, down to being a “mom”… I thank GOD they keep showing up!

I am a woman veteran trying to see about getting into this field. This was a great video! Thank you.

I am taking the leap, and knock'en off my bucket list... I am hoping that there isn't an age dilemma. I love welding and everything about plumbing. I believe plumbing is the most important job ever. Plumbers keep people well. Fix those leaks, family will heal and get rid of those types of sicknesses that roam around our bodies. Remember, green runny noses come from mold somewhere in, around, or outside our homes.
Keeping our living areas cleaner than ever before is highly recommended.

Wow that's awesome and very inspiring. I wish I was a plumber and working there but theres no school here in South Carolina that teaches plumbing 😔

Hello, I'm Janine... This is the day and age of You Tube! If you are good at plumbing or have an interests in it, I believe you don't have to have a license to do repairs. Learn the basics any way you can, and do handyman services around your local neighborhood. You have no idea how many neighbors are needing help around their homes. Knowing plumbing gives us something to barter with. Just food for thought! Take Care, and good luck!

I’ve yet to see a woman lift up 6” cast iron soil pipe into hangers atop a 12 ft. ladder alone. You can pretend all you want. But man has to carry his and her load. Not fair. Not safe.

Another industry I don't see a lot of women in is welding. When I was learning how to use my everlast welder there were nothing but men in the class.
