I am in Anderson County and just got power restored this morning at 10:30. (Thurs) I was without power for almost a week. Lost all the groceries in the fridge. Lost some trees and still have massive clean up to do in the yard but I thank the good Lord we still have a place to lay our head and my heart breaks for those who lost their loved ones and or homes. Never once did I see any gov't agency giving out water or food to those affected in my town. Which is a shame. Thanks to our local P.D. who came out in the mill hills where the river had flooded our neighborhood and checked on folks to see if they needed a place to stay. Gov. McMaster needs to be schooled on relief efforts, imo.

99% of the problems addressed in this video would be solved by the restoration of electric service. They said most people would have their power back on by Oct 4, but that’s not going to happen. They were just way off in that prediction, no one’s fault really, just a bigger talk than was first estimated. No one I have talked to up to this minute has their power back on. Not a single person. So more info about how and when that’s going to happen is the #1 concern for us, in my opinion. Food, water, shelter, comfort and security all depend on electricity.
