Rachel and Monica at Ross' Apartment

- This is taken from the DVD release of the show. Any Blu-ray release worldwide (as well as the Netflix release) only contains the TV Version of every single episode (the tv version has some scenes cut out due to time limitations) while, for instance, the US and UK DVDs contain the Extended Versions of episodes. Sadly I only have this episode in low quality.
Season 5 Episode 20 The One with the Ride Along - Фільми й анімація
I actually think the message Ross left for himself was sweet, especially considering he was depressed after his second divorce.
The phone call to himself was after he survived a gunshot LOL
Sari Putri Don’t you mean after he survived a car backfire? 😂
Poor thing and they laughed at him😂
@Amira Djiar dude u just copy pasta the the comment u r replying to!!! being subtle much?
you know nothing, Joe Z.
did anyone notice that Monica said 'nooo!' in Rachael's style n Rachael saying 'i know' like Mon!! creative!!😉
deeba khan no shit
Yes yes!
Everyone did
😂😂
Yes, we did !
"Maybe it's Emily calling to leave the exact same message "😂

Rachael: I know!!!

yes so funny
Its funny you're a fan but you spelled her name wrong
@@ZechMadox so?
The reverse "Nooo" "I know!" was one of the best moments of the series.
“I can’t remember what she said.”
“Yeah, that’s the problem with this plan.”

What Rachel is wearing is very trendy right now
Is it though?
Everything Rachel wears is trendy
In high school every girl wanted to dress like Rachel/Jenn Aniston, i mean like EVERY girl.
I KNOW!
IKR!!!
They play Ross’ message to himself off like a joke and he’s weird, but honestly it’s very wholesome and a touch sad. Given his life struggles with divorce and such it could be interpreted as that being his way of dealing with depression. Ross is the best character hands down.
Agreed! I would do the same tbh (message to self)
Yes, I always loved that he reminded himself to always be grateful and that life is too short
It is always best to help ourselves..i do the same..but i write actually ..
My favorite character in the show
Yes, but this is a comedy. I found it odd
I love how Rachel herself says the wrong name when trying to imitate Emily message and saying 'Rachel' instead of 'Emiliy' XDD
it was cut from the episode

What is it with those two names?!
'Rachel' & 'Emily', two names that sound entirely different yet keep getting mixed up with each other on the show Lol. ;-)

How Monica tries to criticize Emily , but roasts Rachel without knowing ...
So I know she ran out on her wedding but when did she stoped one????
@@pacm9744 How about that one time she flew all the way to London to tell Ross she loved him which eventually led Ross to saying the wrong name at the altar ? 😅
In Rachel’s defense, she didn’t go through that stopping the wedding plan but I guess it indirectly confused Ross, seeing Rachel right before the beginning of the ceremony. Still Ross’ fault, though haha !
@@presley5 personally don't blame Rachel for Ross saying the wrong name if he was truly in love with Emily he wouldn't have.
@@schewitt1977 Good thing I specifically said "Still Ross' fault" in my first comment :) ! Please read the whole thing, of course it's not Rachel's fault.
There are many explanations to why Ross said the wrong name, it was never fully answered in the show (it's up to our own interpretation, I guess) but of course him being still secretly in love with Rachel seems to be the most obvious.
The writers made it so that it would divide the fans of the show in that specific moment of the TV Series. Us still discussing it proves it :) !
@@presley5 I was actually agree with you !😊
"Yeah that's the problem with this plan"
Monica with that trademark Chandler sarcasm.
Right? He began to shape her personality after they got together, and I love it!

Wtf

😅😅 oh Monica
I don't think he's the one who needs help XD
I'm constantly amazed by how people manage to misquote something they literally heard 5 seconds before.
A lot of people call Rachel a self-serving b*tch (and a lot of times they'd be right), but here in this scene, she is surprisingly mature and sympathetic. Plus, you gotta give the writers credit for calling out not just Rachel for past mistakes but also Monica for her hypocrisy.
Kelaiah01 just watch the next scene
What hypocrisy?
@@miaotsq Monica calling Emily controlling, I suppose. It made sense for Rachel to take that side though. Back to the episode when Ross didn't want to pass the message and phone number when the guy that met Rachel in a bar called. If Rachel got mad at that then it would be wrong for her to delete his message.
Efffff youuuuuu.
What is wrong with everybody ?!! I mean it when i say that Rachel and Monica are two of the most preferable characters on the show ! why monica and rachel wanna take ross's money...it's so funny 😂😂😂😂

There’s Seriously Something 😂
Both actresses played a character called Rachel, so it is not really a mistake lol
That Ross' phone call to himself, omg that is SO him 😂😂😂😂🖤🖤🖤🖤
Ross purposely sent that message to himself as a mode of self-encouragement considering he was going through his 2nd divorce at the time.

this was one of the best written sequences in the whole show. the way it shows the evolution of these friends was great. also the comicality was top notch.
"See if he has ice" looool
I love how Rachel starts drinking after she heard Emily´s message LOL
Right?! She’s like “I need a drink”
"Made in Mexico YES"
I think Monica was wrong for having that opinion and I appreciate Rachel’s maturity here. Ross def had the right to know that message, Emily was his ex wife!
M : if you going to be completely rational about it , I can't argue with you. 😂😂
"If we made a mistake by giving up so fast." We??? Sorry Emily but you're the one who gave up. Ross was willing to do everything to keep your marriage going.
But Ross always love Rachel, and she do not leave a chance anyone to be with Ross, if she wants. It only remains to be understood. Emely did it. Would you agree to marry under these conditions?
Yeah doing his best by saying the wrong name in the wedding and going to the honeymoon trip with Rachel
No Ross is a messed guy... look where they ended up... all the girls coming into his life will have to go n be heartbroken if Rachel is around which would obviously the case for the shows premise. Literally every time Ross or Rachel dates someone I was poor ppl wasting their time with these coz they will get sick n sad seeing each other with someone else. They r toxically associated with other... won’t be together won’t let other ppl come into their lives either 🤷♀️
They r never off the table even when they were not dating they admitted.
Maybe they shouldn't have gotten married after 6 weeks of knowing each other 😂
Only after the stupid crap Ross pulled lol
Aww...our Rachel is growing up! Does anybody think younger Rachel would have hesitated to erase Emily's message? Much less argued that they don't have the right to cut Ross off from it? Rachel really does mature over the course of the show.
Ya specially when she appointed tag just because he was attractive , used her for a few months and then just dumped him .
And do you remember the whole envelope thing with tag .
My god , rachel's character development😭😭
“Look, if you want to be totally rational about this, I can’t argue with you.”
I don't remember seeing the part where Rachel tries to recreate the message?
Nidhi Neelesh It was only on the DVD.
In reruns they cut out some parts, pbbly thats what happened, in my country there are a lot off parts that got cut out of the show and its only in the second season xD

it was cut, until 4:08
yessss same here
"That was different. Although it did involve a lot of the same people."
Awe, i felt bad when they laughed at Ross's message for himself. It was kind of sad, and sweet
This is one of my absolute favorite episodes. The comedic timing is top notch
I like how everyone is making Emily look like a bad person for insisting Ross stop seeing his EX who claimed to love him before his wedding with Emily, the girl's who's named he said at the altar, because that's a 'controlling' girl. And everyone in the world accepting it like what Rachel did is right and Ross leaving Emily for her was also correct
Couldn't agree more ..
It is not "everyone". These are characters speaking for themselves. They are saying it from only their point of view. This is how real-life friends react to their friends' such situations going south. Very '90s, '00s human way of friends' reactions. Times this show springs from. Cannot say about the GenZs.
Emily told him he couldn’t trust, and that right there doomed the relationship. In order to be with Emily he would have to sacrifice his friends and everything he had. He couldn’t keep his furniture, he had to move away… she wanted to know where he was at all times and that was not healthy.
@@bigrivtodagled8210 she did trust him. She accepted Rachel as part of his group of best friends. It's only after the whole wrong name at the altar incident she couldn't trust Ross, especially after she saw both him and Rachel about to go to the honeymoon destination for Ross and Emily. It's definitely a big deal where Ross is in the wrong and Emily tried her best to trust Ross
@@TheDarkMage21 she literally said she didn’t trust him. There is no marriage without trust. Ross realized this and that is why they decided to divorce. Given Ross & Rachel’s dynamic and pretty typical human nature, Emily and Ross’ issues would’ve continued even if he did give in and make all the changes she required of him.
Asking Ross to cut off his ex is normal, however, if marrying someone is predicated on removing existing people from your partner’s life, people that were there before your relationship, then maybe you shouldn’t be together to begin with. Ross wasn’t wrong for wanting to keep his friend but he was wrong for thinking and trying to convince Emily his feelings for Rachel were a thing of the past. You emphasized EX but Ross thought of Rachel as a friend- it’s not as 1-dimensional as you want to make it- And that’s real life
Monica grabbing Ross's money is hilarious :)))
Rachel and Monica are the best of friends . 😍
4:24 that was a nice message 😭 ♥️
It’s so weird seeing Mon and Rachel almost switch characters. Usually Rachel would be the one thinking about erasing the message and Monica would be the sensible one.

Nostalgia Mónica always wanted Ross to be with Rachel.
Its funnier cause they switch their lines
"C'mon doesn't that give me the right to control ... help him?"
ironic how Monica was calling Emily “controlling”, then a few moments later says she has the right to “control” ross herself 😅
"Although it did involved a lot of the same people " XDDDDDD
Every line in this scene is a masterpiece
Rachel came a long way from flying to London to break up a marriage to fighting Monica to keep Emilys message.
"I am getting married to another British person and I'm having doubts and scones" lmaooo
Monica: doesn't that give me the right to cont...help him?
Rachel: I don't think he's the one who needs help.

I'm pretty sure the version I've watched for years did not have Monica saying "well that worked out well" at 3:10. It cut to a different scene after Rachel said "Noooooo". I kinda liked that better :) And I've never seen the bit where Rachel tried to recreate the message.
no it didn't have this in the "normal version"

it's a little annoying, isn't it? the fact that there are versions of episodes that contain additional scenes, but there is no way to know if you're watching the cut or uncut version thus you never know what you missed...
@@yohnnyjames i believe the you played is DVD uncut version. And the only way to know if its uncut version is by looking at aspect ratio. Uncut have old aspect ratio, 4:3 i think i dont know. But the cut version usually in higher video quality, and fullscreen. So if you see friends re run on your tv and Netflix, high chance that its the cut version. Hope it helps
