  • This is a small preview from my solo trip across Morocco in March 2023. This was a mainly offroad, overlanding trip. Full (pretty long) video coming soon.
I've crossed the Atlas mountains at over 3000 meters multiple times. I've ridden my motorcycle around and over the highest dunes in Morocco. I've navigated old Dakar Rally tracks deep into the Sahara desert. I got so lost so many times, I've made a few friends and memories that will last a lifetime.
I'm currently working on the full video, it's a monster. Subscribe to get notified if you are interested in seeing the full ride.

Looking forward to seeing the full video, I have the exact same bike with most of the same mods. I Would be very curious to know how everything went with the setup as I also plan on going to Morocco ! My main fear is the heat with all the gear though !

I’m trying to find time to finish the full video while I’m already planning Morocco 2.0 in 2 months 👌

Love that edit, cant decide what bike to get, I want to do a long tour, think Paris Dakar. It can be done mostly on roads where something like F650GS or F800GS,/ DR650 etc. would be nice. But then you video and the dune riding is kinda hard with these big (heavy) bikes. The Husky is out of budget for me but a CRF250 would be affordable. I am at a loss idk

A CRF300 is a great bike for that purpose if you want something light for Africa! We have one in the family, great bike but not as comfy on the road as a GS

Wow!! Questions, questions!! What time of year were you there? We're you following a gpx / how did you plan you're route?? ..Also, saw on your shorts you tried a Carpe Iter on the 701 - how did you get on with it / what did you use to mount the tablet, & were you worried you might trash the tablet if you had an off??? Thx 😊👍🏼 .. looking forward to the full movie.... PS. forgot to ask - r u using Reckless 80s - do you have any side luggage rack to stop bags swinging in to the wheel area??

Hi there, sorry for the late reply but here's my answers one by one:
      1. I went in March, March & October are the best months if you want to do mountains & desert during the same trip.
      2. I planned my routes based on a very popular book called Morocco Overland by Chris Scott and various other resources (old Dakar tracks, Wikiloc routes etc)
      3. I mainly use a Carpe Iter now for navigation & rally racing on my other bike. It's a really nice piece of kit that is way above my previous Garmin GPS. I crashed it many time, the table is still going strong.
      4. I'm actually using the Reckless 40 with the bigger 22l bag on the rear rack. No side rack, only tail rack, I just strap the bags directly on the bike.
