In this video I'm quickly drawing 6 different boats and 1 ship.
This is the full, narrated, real-time version for the time-lapse video I published a few days ago. A subscriber here asked if I could make a video about drawing boats.
I decided to not just make one long drawing, but focus on the guiding principles of drawing in general, and demonstrating them using multiple examples.

Really helpful tutorial, always struggled with boats, you broke it down and made it so much easier, draw the shapes of what you see, not what your brain thinks a boat should look like! Thank you

That first one is an easy take half internal. Are tricky clinker row boats seen partly inside

Your clinker drawing is nice but i think was steeper angle in photo but it was a reminder for me.minhave sold boat paintings and suddenly cant do it

I want a 3/4 view from after of carvel gaff rigger. I used to. Be expert at it but doing painting now it looked as though it was made of plasticine

Yes, I started really light with this one. Hopefully you were able to see the second layer. I'll try to go a little darker from the get-go next time.
