Commenting because I chose this Epson over the Canon LiDE 400. The bundled Epson Smart Scan software is what makes this scanner so easy and fun to use. Although I’m a Canon guy, IMO Epson excels with their software. Especially the stitching feature and scanning multiple photos at the same time. I just purchased this scanner so I could start archiving our old family photos. Again, the software makes it all fast and easy and I don’t have to waste time fiddling with the settings.

On your Amazon linked ad you give the wrong adapter connector needed as given in your setup. You say to get a USB A to USB C Adapter to work from Epson V39 II to a MacBook Air but Amazon link only shows the wrong adapter.

My Mac doesn't pass OCR quickly when scanning and processor usage is at 20%, do you know how to improve performance?

My iMac doesn't connect always. When it sleeps it loses the connection and then I have to restart the whole Mac. I'm sending back the scanner.

Terrible scanner. Purchased brand new and it won't stay powered on, it keeps shutting down.
Have not been able to use it at all. Avoid this scanner.
