It's 21.50 a lb at the store. Buy it and steam it at home, dip it in garlic butter at home. Unless you're paying $200 at a fancy restaurant for king crab prepared in a fancy way there's no reason to get it eating out, especially at that price.

Except these are not from Stalin at all. The population in the Barents sea is tied to a 1960s era Ichthyology experiment, under the governments of Nikita Khrushchev and Leonid Brezhnev. There are persistent rumours of attempts under Stalin, but none were successful and a majority of stories can be dismissed as rooted in WW2 axis propaganda given that their origin time frame.
Basically, Its Soviet Crabs, not Stalin's, as it post-dates his death and was under the purview of several administrations.

Because people totally stop caring about the damage of invasive animals if there is a way to make money with them. Hasn't that been blatantly obvious over the last hundred years?
Just look at New Zealand, one of the most fragile and 'best protected' ecosystems in the world, yet they don't hear anything about how the European-based agriculture has completely replaced the indigenous flora and fauna.

This is an unwanted species we don’t want in our seas, therefore we have yearly quota so we don’t eradicate them! Brilliant !😂😂😂 they are selling for $100 pr kg at my local store so I have a feeling that might be some of the reason 😂

well its hard for Russia to fight with countries that dont exist. Every country that ever invaded Russia was smaller than Russia....even in their greatest extent.
