      They’ve been doing it for years. I tried to tell people and was laughed at. Apple told me there was no way the apps could do it. Then the apps admitted to it in their tos and Apple offered green and orange dots to let you know if an app was using your mic or camera. They’re all crooks.

      This is true…, my son was talking about paracord bracelets and different things that you can make with paracord and this popped up on my UA-cam feed somehow

    A suggestion: While winding the knot, each time that you complete a set of turns, stabilize those turns with several jumbo bobby pins.
    Each set of turns will remain straight and even as you draw slack out of the other sets. After completing the round of tightening, you can gradually remove the pins as the second round progresses.
    After the second tightening is completed, the pins will be gone - and the knot will be even and well faired. The third tightening can now be completed without risk of collapsing the knot.

      Damn great fuggen idea thanks!! Never thought of bobbin pins lol

    • @dankolar6066
      @dankolar6066 2 роки тому

      @@davidgutierrez8228 - Get the "Big" ones. The smaller sort crap out too fast. Also, those little bungie hair bands are great for securing a knot or braid when you need to take a break from the work.

      do you have a video recommendation that demonstrates this trick?

    • @dankolar6066
      @dankolar6066 8 місяців тому

      @@ritwik1410 - None that I am aware of. However, the pins are inexpensive and readily available. The rest is a matter of trial and error.

    The first time I made one with a print out guide from the library with some real fat rope and no jig. Later I learned you put a ball in it, haha. I made one with no ball? Have now made two with the golf ball. First one paracord was a little bigger and not round but oblongish? The second one was sweet but then I really tightened it more then part of the ball showed. So far the tendency is that I over tighten the ends to help squeeze the nine parachords into alignment and by rushing to take more of the slack out faster it gets uneven. Going to try another one tonight. Amending now by doing more of them, not all 550 is the same. Got about five different colors and the red I got is a little bit smaller and its enough of a difference so the white of the ball shows a little. Thanks for helping to teach.

    Thanks for the video! Best part was actually showing how things can get messed up quickly and how we would need to take our time to figure it out. How "bouncy" is this golf ball fist compared to a steel ball when striking with it?

    So this seemed like a nice simple thing to do, just to pass an hour. Little did I know that this is some fiendish trick! I keep trying and it twists, it knots, it gets tangled! At the end of each try I throw it all in a drawer in a temper tantrum, which means an hour later I then have to untangle the paracord all from the crap that it’s mixed with! 😠 😡 Try number 7!
    I have now watched so many videos of “How to tie a monkey fist”, thanks to the ‘Algorithmic Recommendations’ on my feed, that I get nothing but monkey fist videos just taunting me, they keep taunting me, every hour of the day! 😂 😂

    I created a cool bracelet, or at least I think I did because I've never been able to find it, its similar to the electric third rail. The only difference being that you alternate the side of the cobras knot in between the fishtail pattern, like a normal cobras knot and I called it the cobras tail because its a mix of the two names and it would be cool if you tried to make one but maybe like i said i'm just stupid and someone else already made that.

    13:45 you started with 25' and repeated over and over that it was too long. So when you cut off all that excess, why not tell us how long the excess was? That would be useful information.
