    Have done a few vids. Will do around 50 mph. I get 30 miles derestricted on power, more on eco. Insurance is pricey vs petrol ones as not many insurers will touch them (they get written off very easily due to worry about batteries)

  • @ramborambokitchenkitchen6357

    You can derestrict this bike easily and it will do about 40mph then. Obviously that would then make it illegal for you to ride as it would change the category into a 125 equivalent.

    You'll probably have to swap the led headlight bulb back to halogen for the MOT, LED bulbs rarely match the position of the filaments in the halogen the reflector is designed to work with and the beam pattern gets messed up; unless of course you know a friendly MOT inspector ;)

    • @baconbuttties
      @baconbuttties  26 днів тому

    • @baconbuttties
      @baconbuttties  26 днів тому +1

      @@paulj5080 I did find this...
      LED lights are now legal on a motorcycle
      Headlamps must still comply with all other requirements of the test and headlamp aim. So, as long as the headlight beam pattern doesn't dazzle other drivers, LED light conversions can be legally done and you won't fail the MOT for the conversion.

    • @paulj5080
      @paulj5080 26 днів тому

      @@baconbuttties Fair enough, my experience is with cars and trucks where they used to be a grey area until the MOT manual changed retrofitting LEDs and HIDs to halogen lamps illegal in 2021; I didn't realise that they had changed the legislation in the opposite direction for bikes.

      They changed it the other year, LED lights are legal now as long as the aim is correct which basically means don't buy cheap ones. On my 50cc moped the stock halogen bulb was terrible I could only go at 15mph on unlit roads so swapped them for a pair of LED bulbs from ledperf. It's about 5x brighter and the original beam is still retained.
