    Okay, so I watched the whole video because I love you and I love skincare. A few things:
    1. you look super hot;
    2. a few more tips: drink green tea -- it does not substitute your water intake, but it's full of skin-loving antioxidants and it's affordable; get 8 hours of sleep (preferably between 10 pm and 6 am) so your skin can repair; quit dairy--it triggers skin breakouts for many; and yeah, sugar is the devil to your skin and mine, so be mindful about it.

    • @teni
      @teni  7 років тому +36

      Genuine Glow ooooh I will try the green tea thank you!! And YES I forgot to mention sleep... I get a solid 8 hours every night, I'm a zombie without it. So my skin DEF benefits from that! 💗💗💗

      Teni Panosian I started drinking Mtcha green tea (the papa bear of green teas lol) and noticed a big improvement in my skin! And I've been doing the tons of water everyday for years. It's addicting cause if I don't, I get so dry and dull

      Quitting dairy was seriously life-changing for me! Basically cured my adult acne after years of suffering & trying everything!

    • @GenuineGlow
      @GenuineGlow 7 років тому +2

      I know, Jennifer! Quitting dairy has been a skin-changing decision for me, too. After I quit dairy my skin became less oily. The hormones contained in dairy products cause us to overproduce sebum, which can clog the pores and cause breakouts. I am so glad that your acne is gone!! :)

    I literally picked up a water bottle and started drinking as soon as you mentioned water. I suck at drinking water, too. I'm constantly dehydrated.. it's so bad. I struggle with making it a habit, but you've inspired me to try harder!

    Would love to see a shaving tutorial... From what you've said, and from other comments below, it sounds like it does wonders- but it also sounds intimidating and like something that could easily go wrong!

    also do not be afraid to use facial oil even though you've oily skin, there I said it.. lol I'm oily and I use marula oil to add some hydration to my skin and it works like a charm but ofc, research and dermatologist visit would help.
    PS. I don't shave but I do thread my peach fuzz

      Dee May Say yes!! And, it helps your skin to normalize, bc many oily skinned ppl use products to dry out their face, which is counterintuitive bc then your skin compensates by producing more oil!!

    • @teni
      @teni  7 років тому +5

      Dee May Say yepp, this is true!! Oily skin can definitely use oil. 🙌🏼🙌🏼

    • @ShellTay32
      @ShellTay32 7 років тому

      So true. Since I started using more moisture on my oily face years ago it is so much better. I use light weight products, like serums, in layers depending on what my skin is doing or the season. But, night and day change for the better

    I've been shaving my face for almost a year now, my upper lip and chin area. I'm 38yro and was waxing my mustache&beard since I was about 15yro. I was so sensitive about hairs on my face so I let the lady in the salon to wax it all. Not a good idea. I can't remember last time when my chin was not bumpy, with acne and ingrown hairs. Since shaving it it's getting better. Also my upper lip, no more scars, burns (yes, burns) and no redness with rashes. When I first heard of shaving your face, I was in disbelief, thought of it as another hyped-up thing. But after a series of catastrophic waxing issues, decided to try it. Loving it, what it did to improve my skin. Thank you Teni for speaking about it in a such relaxed and informative way.

    Hi my loves!! First, thank you for taking the time to watch this video. :) This isn't exactly a skincare routine, because I've talked about a lot of products I use and love in the past but this time I'm talking more about little changes I've made in my lifestyle. It's great to share products that work well for me but I've found that these minor changes have made a bigger change in my skin than any product ever has!! I hope you enjoy it, I know there's probably so much info I left out so if you have more questions just comment here and we'll chat! LOVE YOU!!!

    I have been shaving my face since I saw Melissa Alatorre's video on it. I am a pretty hairy person, so I was worried that I was going to grow a full beard or something! LOL! But so far, so good & the exfoliation has really helped since that was the area I was getting the most breakouts. One diet change I would recommend for any suffering with acne is to cut out dairy products. That was life changing for me!

    Hey Teni ! Since I have acne, I went to a dermatologist and asked her for tips and tricks to calm my skin and clear it and she told me one of the weirdest tips I've ever heard: just wash your face with water, nothing else ! At first I was very sceptical but now I can see the results and she was right ! My face is a lot less red ( she told me I had rosacea ), less acne and my combination skin is a tad bit oily since it's very hot where I'm on vacation. I also don't put moisturizer and one or twice a week do a mask and exfoliate.
    Sorry if this was so long, but you talked about shaving your face and I also wanted to share a crazy tip/story 😅

    The biggest tip I can suggest to help get nutrition on track is to be inclusive with the nutritionally dense foods instead of excluding bad foods. Meaning include supper foods and green powders and just general healthy choices as much as possible. You can still have and enjoy the things that are less than great for you (fried food), but you are still getting the skin and overall benifits of a healthy diet. Balance is the key.

    Teni, you are a life saver! Thank you so so so much for makeing this video.
    I want to ask you about the shaving. In which direction do you do it? The direction of the hair growth or opposite direction?
    Again THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS :)

    I love your skin teni ❤️❤️
    Water and oil/serum ...these two have been working magically for my skin type. I have dry skin , and I don't necessarily use cream everyday on my face even.
    p.s. fried foods are sent from heaven 🙃🙃🙃

    Teni, I loved your video & I heard about shaving the face but wasn't too sure about it. Now I'm going to try it. Have you tried a derma roller? I have some acne scars & I am interested in trying it. Would like to know if you have or what are your thoughts about it. Thanks!

    Your skin is awesome ! I seen your natural pics on instagram! I heard of shaving face tip before and tried it but I broke out bad, so I just shave my mustache area.

    How do you shave your face? Video please ♥️

    Great video...
    -they have lots of free apps to remind you to drink water ( or just set an alarm)
    - Kate Is sooo sweet !!! I waxed my upper lip once and instantly it took too much skin and I had discoloration forever. Threading is best ( even the hair removing creams can cause discoloration to the face )

    Hi Teni! Thx for the video. Your skin looks amazing! So, should you shave your whole face or just certain areas?

    I tried the face shaving, brand new razor each time, and I end up with huge breakouts a few days later only where I shaved. :(
    Bummed because your skin looks absolutely amazing.

      AVI8TRIX1 you know someone mentioned this to me on twitter.. it may be something called Folliculitis, or your skin just may not tolerate it well. In any case it's not for everyone! That's why the patch test is so important to see first if your skin can tolerate it.

      Also, make sure you are shaving with the direction of hair growth and not against it. That can cause ingrown hairs and breakouts. Watch Melissa Alatorre's video on face shaving for lots of good tips and tricks.

    Hi Teni, this was really helpful as I'm still trying to figure out my skin care routine. I'd love to know what you normally do for your hair cause it looks really healthy and shiny.
