The year I was born.Good to see the town I'm from, and what I was born into. How things have changed alot, but still some remains the same.Glad I can see the changes through the decades while I'm still here.C/bank 78
Thank you for sharing this video, I showed it to my mother and it made her so happy to see her entire life flash back through these videos, she was talking for hours about each scene and the memory she had from that place. It was lovely to see her that way so thank you. :)
I thank you very much for your kind comment. There are lots of old Clydebank photos on my website which has recently been revamped. www.myclydebankphotos.co.uk
That strange monument outside that store that looked like a climbing frame just triggered a memory of me as a child at least 4ish in the early 90s trying to climb it... I had forgotten about the world back then
My Uncle's Bakery was on the block on tenaments, next to the Gatehouse, I worked in Fine Fare as a trolley boy & I also helped pack those displays. I was born in Clyde Street so remember the Ships, HooperS & Dredgers well. My family lived in Kings Street, just loved Whitecrook. I got expelled from the Nursery & my Gran worked in the Laundrette both of which were on Flemming Street lol! lol! Once again thanks for sharing Owen
Cracking video - although I’m not a resident of the town I was educated at the college and worked in the shopping centre for a short duration ten years ago 👍
