It does not pay to work in the UK, once upon a time a 30K salary meant a comfortable life, affordable mortgage repayments etc. That ship has long since sailed. Generations of failed policies have led to this, Tory, Labour - two sides of the same corrupt, incompetent, self serving political system, The streets are strewn with rubbish, the housing/renting situation is scandalous for a so called 1st world economy, and forget about getting on the housing ladder. There is nothing for a young person to aspire towards, you're better off rolling the dice and taking your chances in a country where you at least stand an even chance of succeeding based on your merits and hard work.

You summed up a lot of what I’ve been feeling. I agree, at this point, taking a chance elsewhere feels like a better bet than staying stuck in a system that seems broken.

It's very difficult abroad. Myself am an immigrant here in the UK, came from north Africa and lived in many European countries and compared to the UK, I really struggled. I came to the UK when Tony Blair was in power and studied and got my degree in IT and got a job as a software engineer and I have really done well. I am so grateful to the UK that helped me enormously. True now economically is not doing well, so as other countries. The whole world is in turmoil economically and the UK is not an exception. Some countries may look nice, nice weather, nice beaches, but when it comes to every day living, it's not easy. Things will definitely change in the UK and it's definitely worth resisting, life is not always perfect I am afraid. But I wish you luck in the future 👍

I grew up in the 80's and 90's living in the Bournemouth area. It used to be fun. Pubs and clubs and parties. People meeting up. Fairs and carnivals and rallies. Then in the 2000's everything started going slowly downhill. I was earning a decent wage working in a factory. Then came mass immigration from Eastern Europe. Wages never went up, after that, and then the "money printing" started. I have travelled in Australia, Central America, and parts of Europe. I would live in any one of those places now, if I was able to. The England I grew up in no longer exists. It is now just a miserable decaying ruin of what it once was. All planned.

    • @moosky7344
      @moosky7344 4 хвилини тому

Yeah 2000 when all the poor newly joined eastern Europe countries joined the EU,pushed up rent's, house prices, doctors, dentist's etc put so much demand on everything jobs you name it,as well as regular migation, every single year.
900k Brit's in 27 Europe countries,6 million from there in 1 tiny island, then they reproduced adding another million more at least.
Most people that went to Europe from the UK were self-sufficient and already completed having their families like retirement people.
Then Brexit happened, nothing much changed everyone from Europe stayed here in the UK and naturalised and got more rights.
Then pandemic, conflict in UKrne, inflation, record migation numbers for the last few years and now free movement for under 30s from Europe is back on the cards, free education here paid by us,jobs etc free NHS, that's what the EU wants from us, eventually I think Starmer will agree 😢

Well played, UK is spiralling, you need 2-3x the average wage to have any quality of life now (but it’s not due to Brexit as it was never properly implemented) - sales jobs will go to AI within a couple of years so setting up an agency to help businesses implement is the right side to be on (I’m focussed on AI agents right now)

Did you know the average salary in the UK is around £37k? So I was earning slightly less then the average wage but definitely more then minimum wage there. I think that goes to show how bad the cost of living truly is here…

      I understand your concern.
I believe I can earn more money by setting up my own business in the long term. In the short term it will be a bit of a struggle, don’t worry I’ve got enough cash in the bank to survive on a budget for at least a year if I didn’t earn any additional income 😉
So I’m not running away I’m just taking a different path.

I watched a number of these videos now and it's always the same; a load of drivel about the tedium of someone's personal circumstances that having little to do with being in the UK followed by the gradual exposure of their lack of ever had any meaningful connection to this country in the first place.
I've lived and worked abroad in several countries (including ex-Yugoslavia which he mentions) and enjoyed the travel but I always understood that the only possible real home remained England. As wanting to even visit North Macedonia and Albania, facepalm.
I just hope that these kind of videos pushing negativity aren't having too much influence on others who need to be changing their country not running away.
    Bye.

I hear you. At the moment I just don’t have the same strong connection to the UK that you do. For me, the quality of life here just doesn’t feel worth the cost of living. Who knows-travel and living abroad might change my perspective, but right now, this feels like the right move and something worth exploring. Wishing you all the best!

Your choice. Times are hard, they're going to get harder. And then they'll get better. Not everyone has the stomach for a fight. Don't come crawling back when it's all over. The patriots will remember who deserted. 🇬🇧

I hear you, and I respect your perspective. Everyone’s situation is different, and for us, this feels like the right move. I hope the UK gets better as I love the country and the culture which is unfortunately changing to something i don't like.

There will be no fight and you "patriots" will never get your country back. People have been saying this for decades and nothing ever happens. What's happening will accelerate and get 1000 times worse and nothing will ever be done to stop it. And no reform wont do anything, they'll be just as treasonous as the tories. You'll be reduced to 10% of the population within a few decades along with a completely collapsed society with hyperinflation, mass starvation, complete systems collapse, horrible ethnic conflict and a failed state. Then you'll wish you'd escaped. Meanwhile everyone who's left will be enjoying a great quality of life in countries with amazing weather, low taxes, low cost of living, friendly people (and attractive women if you're a man) in societies that are the future. They'll actually be ENJOYING life, something Brits have no concept of at all, instead of spending the rest of their lives in a damp, wet, cold miserable grey country being miserable, stressed, anxious, depressed and angry 24/7. What a waste of a life, Enjoy spending the rest of your life being miserable in a collapsing society. You people have no idea how futile and pointless your "stay and fight" endeavour is. You have no literally no chance in turning this around. You're literally wasting your life.

Connief1990 has a point, how are things going to get better? Skilled people are leaving and the only people coming in are unskilled. Plus the average IQ is dropping, including the native population. How are you going to turn this around with a thick, unskilled population? We're just going to become a third world country. Plus, all this nonsense about staying and fighting...you have no weapons. And democracy is rigged against the natives. Reform UK arre pure containment and will never fix any of the problems. You people are proper finished. There is no hope for the UK, you're doomed. Sorry.
