  • In an interview with Trackalerts TV at the Edwin Moses Classic, where he was honored by the organizers, Bob Kersee, arguably the world's most successful track and field coach, shared his insights from over 40 years in the sport. Kersee reflected on his coaching journey, noting that aside from the addition of the women’s pole vault, the main change in track and field has been advancements in technology. He emphasized the importance of understanding the human body and what each athlete is capable of achieving, with technology aiding in this understanding.
Kersee believes that all world records can be broken and advises his athletes to set their records far enough ahead to stay ahead of the competition. He also discussed the potential to break Flo Jo’s legendary records of 10.34 and 21.49, stating that it will take the right athlete, the right conditions, and the right moment to achieve this feat.
