This song is the most inspirational thing I've ever heard.
This song made me cry my eyes out... Living in a broken country such as Venezuela, dreaming to be a movie maker, I can't avoid taking this song literal and personal. So many broken aspirations, and the feeling of me in a deep turmoil caused by a hurricane of things I don't get to decide if they happen or not...I just can thank for such a beautiful song, with a big meaning to someone like me.

Why Owl City represents how change/progress can/should happen
*This is not about which album was better
Throughout all his albums, there's been a constant change - from the dreaminess of Ocean Eyes and ATBAB, to the relatively more direct (lyrically wise) styles of Mobile Orchestra and even Cinematic.
However, regardless of that change, there's one thing that doesn't change in his songs - the hope, the positivity and the innocence.
Adam's songs are changing in terms of how he delivers them, but the essence is always still there
And I think this is something we can learn from - we grow, we learn, we change, but in the midst of all that, remember who you really are and what makes you you

Same when I was in dark times his music helped me
I almost cried listening to this. Adam got me through the toughest times in my life in Junior High and High School. I became a film major in college and fell in love with movies, TV, and Media studies in general. I found a deep connection to how we can express ourselves and our lives through it. For him to create this album, and this song specifically, feels like he has always been there with me even in times when I didn't love all of his music. Thank You Adam

I want to be in the Film World, but I'm confused as to going all in for it or choosing a stable job as a doctor. (I'm in my last year of high school and I'm confused on what to take in college).
It depends where your heart lies, how far you are willing to go, how much risk you are willing to take, and how much fear you are willing to overcome. Just like Kelly Joule, I love movies, and I am willing to go the distance and face the risks. I don't even have the proper training (I go to a community college with a Broadcasting and Production Tech. program), but I am willing to learn as I go along, to build, and to grow. Am I afraid? Sure. But I have faith in the Lord's Will for my life, and my love for Him and movies gives me the strength to overcome.
If you're still not sure what you want to do, take the time and think about things you enjoy and love to do - even the ones you don't think would pay well. Think about which ones you believe you have the most skills in doing. Think about if any of those careers would make you regret later in life or make you wonder if you missed out on something. That's what I did before I walked on my current path.
In whatever you choose to do, dream big and aim high. I know it's not a popular idea nowadays, but here's how I look at it. Pretend you're a mountain climber, and you've set yourself a goal to reach the peak. Something happens, though, and you don't make it to the top. You might see it as failing, but you didn't. If you look behind you, you can see how much progress you've made and how far you've come. No, it's not exactly where you wanted to be; however, you're better off than when you started!

The Adam Young Scores Projects had a great influence in this album and I’m glad it did; I’m so happy that 12 years ago, I was listening to a Kid that made music in his parents basement. Thank you Adam for your beautifully surreal out-of-this-world music; For your first time making a song thats titled the album, Cinematic sums up the album very nicely!!
GreatnationHD I think the break he took to do the scores also really helped him creatively wise. Was pretty dissapointed that I wouldn't hear any new Owl City songs back then, but the wait definitely was worth it!

I'd like to think that anyone who doesn't like hip hop as an overall concept has never actually listened to a hip hop song in their entire life. Or at the very least, the most critical acclaimed tracks and albums that have been released over the past few years. I'd recommend anyone and everyone to explore, learn about and listen to Kendrick Lamar's absolutely phenomenal To Pimp A Butterfly album that he released in 2015. You can like the music, you can not like the music, that's totally your choice but you cannot ignore or write off its bold narrative or its deep messages out of a plain ignorance towards the whole genre of hip hop.

I'm seconds from falling asleep. I see owl city's new album just dropped. I jolt up. I've been waiting to hear this song since I heard the preview. I play it loud on my living room surround sound. I begin hyperventilating bc of how perfect it is. I proceed to go absolutely nuts, and dance and jump around like a madman. Now I'm awake. The power of music, man. Thank you Adam.
