I found Liliac because of their covers . I also was not prepared for what I was about to hear . I learned fast , anything they take on will be absolutely fantastic !

I know it’s tough to take someone’s word for it about music since it’s so subjective, but these kids are the real deal. I think you’ve crossed that threshold and see that now.

Great reaction no one does Janis like Melody her natural voice sounds like Janis most that have tried have to change there voice and not many come.close.
Melodio's voice has been described as the product of Dio and Janis having a love child. I actually had a work friend suggest a resemblance to Bonnie Raitt as well. BTW, Dio was not originally with Black Sabbath. Before Sabbath he was with Rainbow (mid 70s with Ritchie Blackmore) and before that, Elf and and and going back to something like 1958. When Ronnie James Dio died in 2010 he was 67 and still performing even while suffering from cancer. Rainbow was my era. I was in high school. Jr. high for Elf. Young adult for his participation in Black Sabbath. A full fledge, too many kids running around adult for his band Dio. I am old. My youngest son (28) turned me on to Liliac saying "Mom, you have to hear these kids. They are right up your alley and really good!" He wasn't wrong.
All these kids being brothers and sisters they do good as a family band
I mentioned listening to this song by Janis in your other reaction earlier, and how Melody sings it probably the closest to her I've heard to the studio version of "Piece of my Heart". Btw, Sam is the older guitarist who is now 22 I believe. 20 or 21 when this was done. The bass player here, Ethan 14 I think now maybe 12 or 13 at the time of this. He used to be the other guitarist who played that great solo in "The Trooper" that you reacted to. I could tell you were amazed someone so young was that good soloing. I always say I hope they let him to go back to guitar for a few songs and I hope he's still practicing his chops. Too good to put it down. I'm going one by one to watch these reaction of Liliac by you and now it seem both of you. I'm curious what dark music Shana likes. Also rock music is always lurking if you know where to look. But today kids are actually bringing it back. I know of a number of great kids online who are way better than many bands I grew up with. And some who are already famous such as Greta Van Fleet who gets lots of radio play by my area and one kid not even a teenager yet who is playing on stage with Santana, Joe Bonamassa and Orianthi.
Anyway you asked me to give that other rock stars name. I hate requesting other artists on a reaction video. I like to do it elsewhere for fans of in this case Liliac. Even though many Liliac fans may be fans of her too. I will if you don't have another place to make requests though. I really would like to see your reaction to this 1st video of hers. Million have been floored for 3 years now reacting to it. It never ever gets old either.

Did I or didn't I tell you she could sing this song better than Janice Joplin who for my money is not a patch on Mel but I admit I'm biased in their bio they say she is influenced by Dio and Queen but they do a great deal of other great artists as well .keep em coming us fangs are waiting .Fang4life Rock on and rock hard

LILIAC are very good at picking up the essence of the artists that they cover and then they just add a bit of LILIAC seasoning to the recipe.

Ok I clicked like but try to get the balance of video and microphone volume a little closer don't mind a little but had to keep turning up to hear Liliac and down when ya'll spoke and you can't get a splitter and another set of headphones we'd hear more of your comments some went unheard ,sorry about the criticism but interesting commentary just trying for helpful criticism. Couldn't hear but this is a ripping cover. She could do a whole album of female superstars including herself and it would be epic.

I grew up throughout the 60's and early 70's -- I would say that Melody actually sounds better than Janis. She enunciates better than Janis, but considering Melody isn't on drugs or drinking this makes sense.
