I had a 2 bbl Holley on my 58 Plymouth and it was a great carb. I now have a Vintage Weiand manifold and a Carter 500 or Holley 600 on the poly in my 64 Dodge Power Wagon Town Wagon... great mileage and torque.
bruce cryor The valve train are pretty much stock. I’ve put bigger valve springs on because I got a cam with a bigger lift (Schneider cam) with hydraulic lifters. Other that that I bored the block. It’s still have the original crankshaft.
bruce cryor I bought pushrod, lifters, pistons and cam through Schneider Cam Racing. The rods I bought through Falkon Performance. They have some stuff for the poly engine
@Poly Bun so is there no good way to run hydraulic lifters so as to cut down on the constant adjustments, or is it simply best to stick with the solid lifters due to the oil situation? 🤔 Thanks

Offenhauser, made a single plane aluminum 4 barrel intake for the 318 poly, TTI makes headers also. Headers are around 700 bucks.
That crank journal did not look good what happened to that to do that and did you have good oil pressure before you pulled it out.
Those poly head 318s are great engines.
My 66 Fury 2 has this motor 29k original miles what were the mods that you did as far as the motor and valve train? Please help.

So .060 over pistons, stock crank, bigger hydraulic cam, valve springs. What about the rods and push rods?
