cod zombies is really fun if ur into hoard mode type games. Black ops 3 on pc has thousands of custom maps alone. of course you need a pc and a steam account but its kinda worth it for the amount of free content you can get.

This Easter Egg is just a joke.
Shangri-la is somewhere is Himalayan mountains. The myth started with some people saying that mountains in the distance looked orange like they were from Mars. People also stated that monkeys that steal your drops and up launching like a rocket. Other than that nothing else. There is no atmosphere and gravity should be lowered on Mars compared to Earth. Mars moons would not make good Eclipse due to distance and size of Mars moons.
It's likely that Shang *was* on Mars (during the eclipse) but was transported to Earth somehow. The temple itself travels in time, and it's theorised that Mars was habitable at some point.
The likeliest case is that Shang was trasported from prehistoric Mars (back when it was habitable) to Earth at some point, and the Eclipse transport the temple back to it's original time/place. It's possible that the Shang loadimg screen depicts how the temple went to Earth.
Tag doesn't take place on Phobos either. It's the same area as COTD, likely in some kind of pocket dimension like MOTD/BOTD.
Well actually the rumor started because the background mountains literally have the name 'Mars' in the files of the game. It's still not actually on Mars though, it's just an asset that was used for Shang that people took way too seriously. There's definitely some alien shit going on since there's literally alien skulls on the map, but there's no way Shang actually takes place on Mars

@@CallOfUnchartedDuty when richtofen discovered the recipe for teleportation he was sent somewhere in Asia (shangri la) and discovered the focusing stone and considering there were inhabitants of the ancient ruins I doubt it was on mars especially when you think 2 explorers found it while on an expedition and got trapped in the pocket dimension after richtofen had left
There’s 3 options to getting through the cave: 1. As said, put on the “talkin bout regeneration” elixir 2.Have a lvl 3 specialist weapon and use it while on the cave 3.Build that weird heater or breather

2. In the map you literally teleport through space time.
3. The map’s mountains were literally called Mars mountains in the files, and are deliberately red and mars like. Do you know what the Himalayas look like?? Nothing at all like Shangri La.
4. During the eclipse the moon is clearly Phobos.
5. In Alpha Omega, they say there is a time space anomaly in the Himalayas. This isnt Shang itself, but the wormhole, like Tag has with Phobos. Its how Brock and Gary get to Shang.
6. Tag quite explicitly shows that wormhole connection and uses the shang music on mars to exemplify their connection.
7. The alien skull is literally sitting there when you complete the EE.
8. This game has time, space, and multiverse travel, but you really cant fathom that Shang is on mars??
@@CallOfUnchartedDuty 1. The loading screen is just art, just like every other loading screen in Zombies. By your logic Scarlett Rhodes is 100x larger than the average human due to her being so large in the Voyage of Despair loading screen, but in gameplay we see that she's clearly not.
2. There have been teleporters since Der Riese, this point proves nothing. In fact, in an audio log Dr. Schuster tells the US government that establishing even a stable teleportation link to the Moon is extraordinarily difficult due to the distance. Mars is way farther than the moon.
3. File names mean absolutely nothing, and if you knew even the slightest thing about programming you'd realize that. They most likely took a preexisting asset in the game engine and used it for the map without changing the file name. Occam's Razor.

5. You clearly don't know that not everything in the story is to be taken literally. Believe it or not, in lore there AREN'T infinite zombies that progressively get stronger and attack in waves.

When i did this i didn't use anything and made it. It was a complete accident so i just went with it and made it to the dock and was so confused.

I remember once when I was doing the Easter Egg with my 2 friends one of them downed while doing "The Secret" (he never did it before and wanted to see it first hand) and for the rest of the game it was glitched on his end to where he was permanently "Invisible" to zombies and was effectively nearly invincible only being killable through self inflicted damage like grenades lmao, needless to say the EE was infinitely easier and we edited together a compilation of "Sad" Moments of Zombies ignoring him as a joke

Fun Fact: this EE was found by complete accident when people were messing around with the Thunder Gun and Flinger Trap.
Most people thought it was fake Day 1 cause they couldn’t figure out how to replicate it till mfs just started literally doing circles on the flinger(sometimes with Thunder Gun).
Love how this is one of the few maps ive ever gotten all easter eggs on, was so much scuff but so fun once done.

I think the secret represents Pablo's escape attempts. Just like on Shangri La, he was stuck in a loop and could never escape the facility. When ever he did, he would just start back in the lighthouse. I don't think Tag is on one of Mars' Moons.
You don’t need Talking About Regeneration to do this.
You will survive the swim if you have crafted the heat pack and you have either Dying Wish or your specialist weapon charged.
Specialist weapon gives you armor when you pop it, so just before you drown pop it to allow your health to re-gen.
The Easter egg doesn't confirm that Shangri-La on Mars is just a nod the old myth

You don't need talking bout regeneration. You can do it if you have your specialist (ideally at level 3 but I think it works either way) and the heat pack so it takes longer for you to freeze.

Wouldn't the rarest technically be the 100% achievement? Which required you to do literally every achievement in the game, which includes all Easter Eggs? That isn't even the hardest part of getting 100% either, the Easter Eggs are one thing, but you also have to get × amount of kills / uses with every single power-up, active Perk buff / debuffs, Liquids / Talismans AND max out all of the base game weapons. Plus some other stuff like specific mini-boss kills, or little challenges on specific maps. You basically have to do EVERYTHING and it comes out to a LOT of playtime, which I'd argue is a lot more of a feat than the grind for Dark Matter in Multiplayer or Blackout.
The zombies grind in this game was INSANE.
