to me, this feels like the closest we'll ever get to her first scrapped solo album ('mouth of a river'), reflecting her own thoughts after the 'bounty' album and serving as a prequel to 'blue' in the sense of music in the digital age and stuff..... while 'blue' was likely more about the freedom of the internet, this one definitely carries a sense of critique after those 10 years (ahem, tiktok)

I suppose its a lack of resolution that makes it difficult to engage in anything that reminds me of that time. But I'm sure I'll find a way to reconcile with the past someday, and all that will be left are the good memories. Like the first time I heard 'Thin' while cycling during a forming storm in Florida. Zooming down a trail with the wind at my back; the tempo change hit, and it gave me the most intense full body chills. ...I'll focus on those memories. Whoops, didn't mean to type a novela. I get carried away.
you are always have top tier writing. in my interpretation, you spoke about your artistic journey of self-discovery and the realization that your true path lies in embracing individuality and artistic integrity, rather than succumbing to the pressures of commercial success that most artists very likely once or often have to face or being demanded. "I'm not your cherry" you remain to bold of not being molded to fit demands, choosing instead to explore and stay true to your authentic self. Which i always love about you, you only care about your art and the community, even tho i wish you all the worldly success, i respect and adore your authenticity, that also inspire me the most as someone who wants to pursue music ❤
