This type of comment and mentality is half the reason people recoil from the idea of ethical sourcing of food, it's almost like gatekeeping, "they're drunk or beneath me so they won't understand my view" is what you're both saying here. You can make your points without being pompous.
@@imKas I think I understand where you're coming from, at the same time I disagree with the notion that saying "I don't know if there was hope" conveys a mentality of being superior. Yes, the main interviewee was notably intoxicated but more importantly, he wasn't tracking with the dialectic. My comment is not an attack on the interviewee, but instead contained a caveat prefacing a suggestion for the interviewer. It was to say 'Colburn I'm not saying this suggestion would have guaranteed a desired outcome in this case, but maybe you could have tried...' Do you oppose needless killing of sentient beings?
