You’ve done it again! I’m going to be making a set of bowl coozies for my daughter for Christmas. I made 1 for her to try and she loved it! Now she wants a set!
Cozies in any size are awesome & so practical & promote safety. I got my great nephew a whole set of chef hat, hand Mitt, utencils & apron. Not vinyl-fabric & can't wait to give it to him..he helps his dad BBQ. A kids complete set for the kitchen is an wonderful projects bc it keeps them off the gaming system & opens up another world of opportunity.👍💌🥧
Thank you for another fun video. Some of the products you recommend are my most used and favorite products . When I was new or back into quilting you recommended the Folded Corner Trimmer Creative Grids..... Us it all the time. Thanks again for beautiful how to videos. Always such a pretty background too.
We're glad you enjoy these fun projects! Have you seen the two bowl cozy sizes we've showcased, featuring the same pre-cut batting from the Gypsy Quilter? The smaller size can double as an ice cream bowl cozy. Thanks for watching! 💖 -Michelle
The Gypsy Quilter's batting is not the Wrap n Zap brand but is 100% cotton and microwave safe! Here is a link to our website with more information on this batting. www.shabbyfabrics.com/p117523/plate-cozy-pre-cut-batting-8ct-by-the-gypsy-quilter Hope this helps and thanks for your comment! - Abby
My son's like to eat in front of TV, and they use their shirts as hot pads, instead of actually using hot pads ( which they hate putting back), so a plate cozy will fit plates better, and allow them to keep these where it's convenient for them, and they won't lose my hot pads!!
Can you please send me the measurements for the dart? I absolutely love these and look forward too making these for everyone’s Christmas gifts, thank you ❤
You can find these 13" square pre-cut batting here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p117523/plate-cozy-pre-cut-batting-8ct-by-the-gypsy-quilter?ref=Search Hope that helps! -Michelle
I've made a few now with 100% cotton, thread and 2 layers of wrap and zap..... I normally used a slick material but recently considered more of a flannel 100% cotton. Any thoughts?
Yes, as long as your flannel material is 100% cotton, it should be a good alternative. We do want to note that you may want to test a scrap piece in the microwave first to test the flammability. Also, please keep in mind that since flannel is a looser weave, you may not find it to be as protective as a "regular cotton" fabric.
We do not have a measurement for the darts as they are pre-cut into the batting and we do not want to violate the pattern designer's privacy. -Michelle
The answer to that probably depends on your microwave. As long as your cozy is made with 100% cotton material and thread, you may be able to do 1--2 minute increments, but we do recommend testing it with 30 second increments. Hope that makes sense! -Michelle
This pre-cut batting is 13" square, so take some inches off for dart and seam allowances and depending on your project, the final project could end up measuring 11.5-12.5". Hope that helps! -Michelle

What is the largest plate that this will accomodate? TY.
