Thor has much more fighting and power skills, hidden from his father, Odin, and in addition, he is immortal, because he is a god, and no one in the MCU is a god anymore. The Hulk had already reached his maximum power and it was clear that no hammer to improve his power. And besides, Thor didn't really want to fight the Hulk because he wanted to save him from the grand master's authority.
The Hulk can't even move the Mijolnir hammer, even Captain America and the Iron Man have far more fighting skills than the Hulk, and this can be seen in the war of infinity.
