I just replaced mine with a zama, the same as what came off and it's flooding out too. Can only start it wide open throttle, no idle, and the adjustment screws are turned all the way in... Even a quarter turn out bogs it down with too much fuel. Going to just rebuild the old one with the new parts off the new one and hope for the best.
I have a weed eater that looks just like yours but it has one gas line from the carb to the tank and one line from the tank around the handle and vents under the handle to the atmosphere. I replaced both fuel lines and the one under the handle has gas coming out of it. It starts and runs ok but my model has no bulb to prime the engine. If you have any information on this brush trimmer I would appreciate it. Mine is a green WEED EATER Model GHT-17 Thank You.
My friend gave me one of the same, I got it running like an Ostrich, only when I keep pressing the primer bulb. I'm thinking of idle adjustment? Thanks, Paul Fields, Detroit Michigan
This is a follow up video of the same machine being torn down and reassembled at normal speed. I was asked if I could make that video and I did it with no issues of doing it. So before trying give any feedback on mine or anyones site, please take a sec to see if there is a follow up video or if they would redo a video to make it clearer. You may be shocked if you were to ask nicely 😉 . Have a great day. ua-cam.com/video/QPcYlEsqsQo/v-deo.html
Sorry Eric, but after dealing with a bad carb and trying to fix the trimmer. I just wanted to get it fixed. I explained the issues of the carbs from Amazon and ebay. But, if you want a cab overhaul video, fuel line replacement, or what your looking for I can make one? Just let me know. Oh, sorry for the nonsense :).
Mine is still original(except fuel lines and plug) and purring. It takes 40:1. They're a decent machine worth working on.
Still have mine and it's a beast.
Thanks man… struggled before video after watching g to g!
Thank you and you are more than welcomed.

That's what I found out with zama carbs, better to rebuild and not replace with knock offs

I'll looking into manual collection, give me a day.
I have been having the same problems with the cheap carbs. Lately I have started to order rebuild kits for the original carbs.
Same here too.
Those new fuel lines are a pain to get on! I used a lighter too
Great to hear, I'm not the only one :).

@@jetzombie no problem. Thanks
Can you post a video on how to take Shroud/HT Shield off because mine had a loose mental piece inside and needs to be taken out. Thank you.

Can you make a video on replacing the pull cord? I got to the clutch, and couldnt go any further.
4 bolts around the clutch and one from the top and it comes apart
Freidrich said it perfectly.
can you tell me how old that one is? like the music.
I believe it is an 04 model type 3, so about 16years old. Thank you, the music is from the Corel editor that I use.
I Need to Change the Magneto. But cant figure how to take the bottom apart
I have another video of taking it a part posted.
What tool is used to get carb cover off?
Torqs T25 I think.
You didn’t show how to do anything. You just blazed right through it. Sad
