Her "rebrand" is a badly manufactured distraction of all the abuse she did to those kids on that show. She literally recreated Dance Mums and continued the cycle of abuse. Do I think she's a victim of abuse & probs of the predators she's friends with? Yes. Does that mean she's allowed to do this shit to the next generation? No. She needs a break from the spotlight and a ton of therapy. Her bad dancing, sharpie makeup, and stolen lyrics are the least of her issues imo.
She also went on a podcast to defend colleen and claim all the claims againest her are lies when theres litreal photo & video evidence of what colleen did to kids - yes shes a victim but victims can become abusers just look at drake bell
yeah, part of me feels bad for her for the fact that she probably has been stuck in the glittery childlike stuff for so long that now at 20* she's starting to act like a teenager having an edgy phase and not an adult since she's been made to act like an 11 year old for her whole life, and everyone around her probably mistreated her in some form, but also when you go and continue the cycle of what happened to you i am way less sympathetic.
Preach my truth! I would feel worse for her if she wasn't just repeating the cycle without a whiff of introspection or remorse. She *is* a bad girl, and not in any fun or sexy way, just the way where you're an awful person.
Exactly! She's a mess and the fact she's so into children that she literally can't make an adult based video as an adult despite trying to shows she needs therapy not another interview. She's a mess and has been for a while. The fact she can't break away from the obnoxious personality that got her fame is really concerning... Unless this is literally just a distraction. But I don't think people should let this make them forget what she did to those kids!
I don't know a ton about Jojo Siwa but it does seem like she's just going to continue the abuse and grooming she received under the guise of "look how fun I am, they just don't get me"
@@Kikimonsterbooks It makes sense, she likely doesn't really understand that the abuse she suffered was as bad as it really was so she's going to repeat it because it feels normal to her
Gurl, you are SPOT ON with your assessment of her mental state for real … the “ she is now cosplaying what she thinks an adult is “ - this is extremely accurate - its clear she has been damaged emotionally and psychologically since she started in the industry at 9 years old…
@@baraness24 who shes been friends with she was 12, shes just been groomed by all the adults around her, you should feel even more bad that she cant get rid of people like that round her
@DopeioThePhoneBoi it's a delicate situation if you grow up thinking these inappropriate situations/scenarios are okay and have been a victim of it yourself. I would have fought tooth and nail on spanking being an acceptable form of punishment for children, because I turned out fine (spoiler alert: I did NOT turn out fine) up until I was 20 and really started to reassess aspects of my childhood. My parents weren't as bad as other parents, so I struggled with the idea of X being just as bad as XYZ in the long term. I really hope she can have this realization, sincerely apologize, and be able to use her influence to prevent future harm to child actors/stars.
I think it has to do with the original brit smith version, where she says “messed up”, but i guess they wanted to change it but also wanted to keep the general sound, which worked but honestly sounds more juvenile than if they just kept in “messed up”
"Is her PR team asleep at the wheel?" Her PR team is her mum, the woman who willingly put her into Dance Mums and kept her in toxic spaces. It would be better if she was asleep at the wheel
Her mom was bleaching and coloring jojo’s hair since she was 3 years old! That should be abuse. Like, the chemicals are super harsh and should not be used on a kid
I also heard that her mom pressured her to share her "adult money" (the account where parents have to safe like 20% of their childs income, which they can only access at 18, sorry forgot what its called) 50/50 with them
shes going through her edgy middle school phase but she wasnt able to go through that phase when she was in middle school so now shes going through it as an adult
That’s why it feels like people are being a little hard on her. Is it a bit much? Yeah. But she didn’t get the chance to do this at thirteen. Let the girl experiment with her identity.
I have a lot of grace for JoJo given how she was raised. She is unfortunately projecting out a lot of the things that were done to her on Dance Moms, and is also dealing with her delayed identity crisis, because she was not allowed to be a kid at the age she should have been. But, this has been wild to watch. As always FunkyFB, your commentary is hilarious and dead-on without being cruel.
She’s obviously going through her ‘“new adulthood out of child stardom identity crisis’” stage. Hopefully she doesn’t hit rock- bottom before she finds herself.
yeah, this is the thing that i don't get why people are so up in arms about it. miley did it, britney did it, i'm sure people in tin pan alley were doing it in the early ninteen hundreds. child stars have to have some level of cringy transformation into adulthood, if their fame lasts that long.
@@elissaferguson6753It’s not the fact she’s trying to grow as an artist. Britney was being essentially held hostage by her family, Miley was trying to deliberately break out of her child star persona that she’d held for SO LONG to become a music icon in her own right. Jojo’s rebrand is just that - a rebrand, a PR-directed shift in genre while also trying to act like she’s doing something new and groundbreaking with no regard to the giants whose shoulders she’s trying to stand on. Just look at her response to people saying she stole Karma (which, to be fair, she didn’t). Trying to say she’s inventing a new genre, making a massive shift that no one else in Gen Z has done (which is completely false when you look at people like Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish) because she and her PR team are trying to make other people feel just as strongly as her about this new carefully monitored and groomed shift. It’s annoying and feels disingenuous, like corporate slop.
Gene Simmons is looking for HIS boots, too- ALL DAY, as his assistant, I’d looked everywhere- then : THIS VIDEO! Good lord , this Jojo person has stolen half his closet! Oh, no- What should I do?
Someone on Twitter said she looks like Barb (the villain from Trolls 2) and I can't stop thinking about it every time someone talks about the music video lmao
"karma, I am hawkmoth. Upset the world only sees you as that little girl you used to be? I'm giving you the power to completely change your image. All I want in return are ladybugs and cat noirs miraculous!"
There's something funny about JoJo's whole 'I'm not for kids anymore' thing when most of the good comments she's got about Karma are: 'Man, I would've loved this back when I was a 13 your old edgy gacha kid.'
As someone who has been a gacha kid for 5 years, this is true. I remember binging edgy GLMVs, and I know damn well that I would’ve been HEAD OVER HEELS for Karma back in like,, 2017-2019.
Worst part is, this isn’t even her song originally. She bought the rights to it, and now is promoting it as if it’s her own. She also changed the lyrics to include more curse words.
@@exarrhena Brit smith didnt come out and say it. She might not have said *exactly* that she wrote it, but she said it was about HER ex, and that noone has made this big of a change, and more things that would make people think that she wrote it.
Exactly and I hate when people immediately say it's wrong when you say a victim has become an abuser. It's not. Sometimes it happens and it's important to bring attention to. These people need help just as much as victims that don't perpetrate
ik there was a clip of jojo taking about boomerang in the video but until this comment i didn't realize what song that is FUCK it's gonna be stuck in my head for the rest of the night thanks xD
What's funny is that her hardcore "Rebrand" is literally the cutesy version of hardcore... It's like she just changed the color palette Or fell into the sale rack of a Hot Topic. Intentional or not, it's just hilarious😅 It's like Cindy Lou Who is going through her goth phase 😂😂
I have a theory she is claiming to want to target adults but is actually deliberately trying to appeal to tweens/young teens. They are the only ones who would think this is mature and edgy.
If I had to choose just one channel to watch for entertainment for the rest of my life, it would be yours. You are so smart, witty, have amazing humor, make me think critically while also entertaining me, your topic selection is vast, I could go on!! You got me through a super painful and sleepless night and will get me through today
i think she had the right idea with the soft rebrand in 2021- still sparkly but more subtle and pulled back. she seemed really happy and herself in that era and i really think she should have followed that’s
Exactly she was maturing with her audience. Soft glam makeup line, preteen-teen trendy clothes, and truthfully a dance studio would have been great. Training young dancers who want to break into the industry. There was a better way of doing this, this is just cringe.
if she wanted to do edgy, i think she’d be pretty good with horror elements like pastel gore, why do the whole KISS ripoff? (or maybe i’m too obsessed with horror)
Hers is the most disney channel translation to "bad girl" that ive ever seen. I think she watched Descendants 2 where they teach Prince charming how to be "Bad" and took notes with her crayons.
The worst part about this is the fact this was bound to happen, i mean she was in dance moms, was friends with Colleen, started her carrier extremely young and treats Abby like a friend despite the fact she was abused by her. Jojo needs literal therapy from the amount of massive issues she has from growing up with people who have mistreated her and being friends with people who were extremely awful, It's genuinely sad to see her spiral down like this.
She was on podcast saying she doesn’t want to go to therapy cuz (either she knows someone who therapist linked they private session or she knows know someone who knows some else that got their session linked), I think it was Megan trainer podcast, she’s says she doesn’t want to go therapy but then mentions she really really want kids and the other guess or host tells her before she has kids, go to therapy. Hope she does especially after her own dance group thing and how she *allegedly treated those young girls
I was counting down the days until a story like Leah’s broke SOLELY because I know the abuse in dance mom’s is normal professional dance sphere behavior and JoJo is bound to repeat it. It’s heartbreaking but so predictable when you put a kid in that environment and then let them grow up without the slightest bit of a detox from that culture.
In a world that feels so divided where it feels like everyone is constantly fighting each other, I find solace in the fact that we can all unite in our disdain for Jojo's rebrand
My dear mother saw part of her music video on YT Shorts and thought it was from a live action JoJo's Bizarre Adventure adaptation, and because she knows I like it, she sent it to me like "Did you see what I sent you? Are you excited for the JoJo's? :)" And I had to gently break it to her that no, this was not from a JJBA movie, it was from a child star's new "bad girl" music video. She was so disappointed. Edit: My mom says thanks for all the sweet comments, she really enjoyed them :)
The original Brett Smith version of the song is actually super good, the lyrics are awesome and her voice doesn't sound like she just escaped a burning building
I recently learned that Jojo didn't even write Karma and it was originally written by Britt Smith in 2011, but she never released it and Miley Cyrus took the song in 2012 before she decided she didn't want it anymore. Not really sure why she marketed it as her own work.
its actually the other way around it was written for Miley who didn't want it and Britt got it and recorded it but never released it officially, but other wise yep.
I mean, to be fair, a LOT of celebrities don't actually write their own music and instead parade it around as if they did. I love to be the one to say it, but fourteen year old Taylor Alison Swift probably didn't write "You Belong With Me," and her adult self probably didn't write "Blank Space," either. The era of pop stars writing their own music has died out pretty heavily.
11:00 Favourite part of the video. "Alright that's everything in the register." "Man, I think I got the wrong kind of p-" "Who cares, our getaway driver is in position right now let's go!" "Oh my god. Jojo!" "What are you doing?" "What were you thinking?!" "Jojo." "Jojo. HERE COME THE COPS-!" Yes I wrote it down, judge me.
Sadly true! And it's something that can still, unfortunately, continue with the Internet/social media (and arguably having kids worse off since, despite all the abuse/neglect that can come with signing up for Hollywood/any other entertainment industry, the Internet even less safeguards and laws in place than Hollywood/other entertainment industries do.
@@Scarshadow666 The internet is a double edged sword- while yes- it still can help create a worse output- but it also can hold accountability to those creating the damage. It still doesn't change the fact that ultimately people themselves are responsible for such damage and abuse taking place, horrible people like this are really the problem in the first place no matter what the setting is or if there's perhaps less restrictions or not.
Thanks for not tearing JoJo down. Complex trauma sucks, and the process of even beginning to unravel it is...a MESS. She doesn't know who she is because she's never been able to be herself.
@@Werileyz I think it makes it harder to NOT feel bad for her. Shows how damaged she really is that she thinks it's okay. She needs a lot of therapy and someone to guide her on correct morals.
@@-CG I agree that she needs help, and I hope she gets it, but her trauma is no excuse to hurt others in the same way. I live with PTSD and have done shitty things too, but truly, if all of those allegations are true, I feel incredibly disgusted by her. She’s old enough, and had been old enough, to know better. I don’t think she’s irredeemable or anything, but when people do shitty things to children my thoughts don’t usually go to empathizing with them more just because they went through shit. I think some people are tearing her down for the wrong reasons (just because they are hateful), but it’s very understandable for people to dislike her when she allegedly exploited and abused a kid and defended people like Colleen.
@@Werileyz Oh, I agree it's no excuse absolutely 100%. I also have PTSD, sorry to hear you've got to deal with that shit too. I just don't think she quite realises just *_how_* wrong her actions were because of how normal they are to her. I could totally be wrong about that though. Kind of like how sometimes I'll say something in casual conversation that gets horrified stares without meaning to. *coworker* : "huh, you're missing the same teeth as me! Did you play hockey as a little boy?" *me* : "haha, no, I wish! My ex-boyfriend knocked a couple of them out. Do you watch hockey? I like the Maple Leafs." I was like 19 or 20, had only been working for maybe a year. Coworker was stunned and concerned, I was confused. Anyway, I just feel bad for her because she's lost and has zero real guidance. I don't think it excuses anything, it's just SAD. You know?
@@emmamay3175. Consider that JoJo had to act as a child throughout her teen years. Meaning now as a young adult, she's only just reached the 'rebellious teen' stage. She's never had the chance to develop normally.
I have spina bifida. Spinal surgeries are *excruciating.* Strenuous activity when you’re not fully recovered can cause a lot of damage. Leigha is incredibly lucky that the abuse she suffered didn’t wreck her mobility to the point of leaving her unable to dance. She deserved so much better.
Yeah, dude I read that article, and that shit was awful. Someone needs to fucking lock Jessalyn up- there needs to be more laws or something protecting children from absolute fucking predators.
@@amblonyxx Apparently Jessalyn told the mothers (after one person left) that if they tried it, they'd have to pay a huge amount of money for breach of contract - it was around $175k, I think, but I can't remember the exact number off the top of my head.
Leigha's family needs to sue if they aren't already. The fact she bled thru her belly button is so fucked up. Idk if there was a port there, I'm not sure how else she would have bled without some kind of opening to begin with, it's still heavily fucked up that they didn't even ask if SHE WAS OKAY. The Siwa family are all abusers as far as I'm aware.
I had an exploded disc in my spine repaired and even that surgery was awful. I can't imagine the pain of having operable spina bifida repaired. It took me MONTHS of recovery just to be able to walk around my house, and weeks just to be able to get out of bed without the pain making me see stars. Making a little child DANCE after a few weeks of recovery? Sinister. Absolutely sinister.
I think the thing with Jojo Siwa is that she wants to be something other than the *sparkly, bubbly, girlie-pop* because she's always been that. It feels like she's going through an identity crisis, honestly.
This is really disappointing to me, honestly. I only had a foggy awareness of who she was before the rebrand, and that awareness was that she was a really good, positive influence on young girls. The shtick as I understood it was 'hi I am unabashedly perky and happy and I like girly things and bows AND THAT'S OKAY because you can be who you want to be with confidence!! Also I'm gay :D' While I wasn't into the whole look, I really respected that impression, you know? To find out now that bows apparently wasn't her being her, and was in fact a crafted persona.. like damn, the wholesomeness of the previous ers is ruined, and the new era is 'good girl trying to be bad but literally doesn't know how.'
The fact that she even tries to compare herself to THEEE KISS when she looks like a Party City and a Spirit Halloween threw up on her-Like even calling it KISS inspired feels wickedly disrespectful💀💀 Edit:DAMN YALL I JUST WOKE UP TF😭⁉The notifications almost gave me a heart attack-💀 Live laugh Love KISS ig🙇🙇
you just don't get it. it's too edgy for people these days. no one has ever seen something SO ✨edgy✨. not in the 70s or anything. what's that? gene simmons who? -jojo, apparently
To be honest, this is pretty standard behavior for child pop stars. Miley Cyrus did this in the 2010s and How I met your mother parodied this with the Robin Sparkles saga.
@@curepinkie1637I get it, but she has also been groomed as a child star her entire life essentially. I don’t blame her as much as I blame the people surrounding her that clearly used her to make a quick buck. She is off for sure, but that is kind of how complex trauma works
“everyone’s afraid to be different” she says while cosplaying as a lost member of Kiss “New things can be very very scary” she says, but Kiss did this over 40 years ago
Nah, she's just self-reporting. I can't think of a single teen and young adult that *doesn't* want to establish their individuality, often involving making cringy attempts at being "weird" or "quirky" to achieve it. Jojo's just telling us that she's a) just now entering that phase of her life, and b) doesn't interact with enough people her age to know that wanting to be different is actually pretty normal
@@AD-dg3zz well yeah obviously it’s a normal phase to go through. Her going through a normal phase is kind of besides the point, she can both be going through a phase and lack any originality. Her team told her to dress like that considering she “doesn’t get the references” but she doesn’t even think to google it. Usually when people go through that phase they at least draw influences themselves. Even if they end up closely emulating someone else they at least thought about who they want to emulate or draw from multiple influences. She’s not the only one to go through that phase while being a copy of someone else, and even other people going through that phase will criticize it.
100%. My first thought was Miley Cyrus. Yes, there was a huge shockwave when she released songs like "Can't Be Tamed" and "Wrecking Ball" because she *was* Hannah Montana, Disney Sweetheart (which is something many young folks miss when they see controversy about Miley when she was younger). However, Miley showed herself to be a talented artist.
My brain immediately jumped to Miley. And her "turn" to adulthood was especially tricky since she spent practically her whole childhood being owned by Disney nobody in the non-entertainment world knew who she really was. They only believed they did.
I genuinely love that you’re not attacking or bullying her, but instead you bought up another side to the situation that not many people have thought of. Sure her choice of people she associated herself with is 100% her fault but other things like not living a normal childhood aren’t, and I’m glad you mentioned it
Even that is likely influenced or controlled by her team in some way. She probably hasn't had a friend she wasn't introduced to at an event or as a collaboration partner or whatever since her brand took off.
@@AgentLadyHawkeye I feel like yes, her relationships with people like Colleen Ballinger and Shane Dawson are most likely ones she didn’t chose, as these friendships started through collaborations but especially since Jojo defended Colleen’s actions, I really hope it’s something she’s been told to say by her team, and not something she actually believes
@@AgentLadyHawkeyeYeah, the only ones that aren’t corporate-induced she’s fucked up by doing the typical lesbian thing and dating every queer woman close to you. Even that’s kind of been tainted though, she’s so sheltered that she thinks “normal people” don’t have sex in bedrooms and that they fuck in bathroom stalls instead.
@@greydavidson7784 Sad to say, she might believe it. She grew up around a lot of problematic adults, so Colleen's behavior might seem normal or not that bad to her, which is even sadder to think about. I really hope she's able to get away from all the toxicity and learn and grow as a person in a better environment.
@@greydavidson7784 hard to say, but @Eckertainment is right that she's been in an environment that normalizes abuse so she might believe it's defendable.
As a resident, Boomer here, you are completely 1000% correct Fire that PR team yesterday. And being a grown-up is a lot more than saying you’re grown up.
It’s also a lot more than making everything about sex. People have to stop acting like the second you start sexualizing yourself you’re a “true” adult.
JoJo has been growing up as an adult. She started with rainbows and unicorns, like elementary and middle school kids and now she's entering her rebellious teen stage. If she's been in the spotlight since 9, then her behavior now makes sense, because she was a kid in an adult world, and never actually had a childhood. I feel bad for people like her, because they never had a chance to experience growing up with peers. They are stunted in so many ways.
I thought I was the only one who had seen her on special forces since I never saw anyone talk about it. It was crazy how much more free (if that’s the right word) she seemed when away from everything
@@milez_aminute She didn't have her mom breathing down her neck. I wouldn't be surprised if the military instructors acted as better parental figures than her own parents.
Drama Kween made a great video showing that if she just died her hair brown, did some smokey eye and maybe got a piercing the rebrand wouldnt have been bad at all- The thing shes missing is Miley Cyrus didnt wear a costume, she just dressed differently- Its like Lana Del Rey going from Born To Die with red hair and cherry lipstick to Ultraviolence with Brown hair and smudged eyeliner- its the subtle things that can change your entire vibe
I was gonna say Dove Cameron did a relatively big shift from Disney Channel child star to a bit more of an edgy vibe, even beat JoJo to the gay pop music, honestly yeah, she just dyed her hair and started dressing/doing her makeup differently and no one made a big deal about it because she didn’t treat it like it was this big revolutionary thing
I agree 100%! And THAT'S a huge reason why her rebranding feels so inauthentic. Like, are we really imagining Jojo putting on that Party City Rockstar makeup EVERY DAY? She hasn't changed a single thing about her appearance underneath all that tackiness. It's literally impossible for the audience to imagine her in anything other than her ponytail and default lesbian loungewear if the only material she's giving us is an over-the-top discarded-concept-art Kiss costume that we've already seen a thousand times. 🙄
Subtlety comes with maturity. That's why all the scene kids used to wear bombastic emo clothing, but they tone down as they mature. Unfortunately, Jojos brand has been loud for so long and shes still young so the bad girl rebrand has to be bombastic too.
As someone who did rot her brain with Dance Moms lol, I'm not surprised this is how Jojo turned out. I'm the same age as Maddie and Kendall, so I feel like I literally grew up with this show and have invested too much of my life into the behind the scenes stuff. I 100% blame Jojo's mom, Jessalyn, for how she turned out. Jessalyn is truly one of the worst parents I have ever seen in my entire life. You could make an argument that every mom on Dance Moms cared more about making their child famous than protecting them, but Jessalyn was literally a new extreme. I always felt so sorry for Jojo growing up, it was so clear even as a preteen her mom was steering her down a bad path. That said, though, I also grew up abused, and there's no excuse for Jojo to continue the cycle as an adult. It's absolutely her own responsibility to educate herself and decide be different, which I sadly don't think she will anytime soon. It's sad because most of the other girls from DM have left that time behind and have found success in various ways, and other child stars like Zendaya have navigated the transition from child star to adult the way that Jojo is trying to without looking a fool the whole time.
I wonder if she has that one mind set that many people can have when abused. The "Well I turned out JUST FINE MYSELF" or something similar. My older sister say it quite often herself. She was hit or spanked when she was younger so she makes comment often like "These kids need to be smacked" or make hand motions showing she wants to hit the kids she believe are misbehaving. I often correct her and we quite argue over it too. It wouldn't surprise me if Jojo has a similar mindset with a mix of stubbornness.
I remember when jojos brand popped up while I was walking around in stores with my mom, I’m so glad I was never interested. It looked fake, every bit of it and the fact is that, it was. And worse…
I think one of the other issue I have is how she said she wanted to make "gay pop" because it plays into this idea that being gay is a genre you're giving yourself, like a trend. Gay pop is just pop.
What I'm imagining is pop songs about queer artists telling thier stories And I'm pretty sure that's existed since before she was born so she might have a bit of trouble inventing it
She reminds me of most Dinsey Child Stars. They have to break the concept that they're for "kids" and that they're innocent, so they jump into some edgy or downright pornographic role or music video. In reality, it's truly sad because they are left without any sense of true identity due to growing up in the spotlight and playing out some chosen role, so when they leave, they have no idea who they are, just what they don't want to be.
It actually makes sense that Jojo acts like she's in her early teens, because she basically is. She was forced to act like a 8-10 year old, and only now she finally can act like a rebellious teen
Unironically, the only thing I’ve actually liked JoJo in was that one competitive reality show with the Marines, Special Forces. She wasn’t sanitized and wasn’t aggressively “adult” (lol), she was just another contestant going through tough sh*t.
The thing is, I already felt like she had a rebrand kinda thing going on in 2021. Her coming out, the baseball video, dancing with the stars, her wearing more mature things at red carpets... We all seemed to like her back then and then it turned around again with the girlfriend drama and xomgpop
she would've hit it big if she continued down a less edgy pipeline and written her own songs 😭 i feel like if she just decided to make normal millennial love songs and tone down with the makeup, we would have shat on her a lot less
This is the funniest and also best written commentary of Jojo Siwa’s rebrand. But I really like your empathetic ending. This is a young woman who has been a manufactured product since childhood.
I think knowing that jojo was abused and ridiculed while pressured to perform as a child really shows how thats affected her (being the treatment of the kids on her shows) and it really saddens me that this PR choice to distract from the controversy worked.

The fact that her “not safe for children” song has her singing “effed” instead of fucked is probably one of the funniest things in the world.
Lmao, fr?
I think it has to do with the original brit smith version, where she says “messed up”, but i guess they wanted to change it but also wanted to keep the general sound, which worked but honestly sounds more juvenile than if they just kept in “messed up”

yeah, this is the thing that i don't get why people are so up in arms about it. miley did it, britney did it, i'm sure people in tin pan alley were doing it in the early ninteen hundreds. child stars have to have some level of cringy transformation into adulthood, if their fame lasts that long.

The rebrand is actually a bad distraction from her abuse of kids on a show she was making
Hope she does especially after her own dance group thing and how she *allegedly treated those young girls
yea, she made the song on purpose super badly and stole lyrics all to piss off her super controlling toxic parents
I was counting down the days until a story like Leah’s broke SOLELY because I know the abuse in dance mom’s is normal professional dance sphere behavior and JoJo is bound to repeat it.
“no one has made this dramatic of a change before” But look at literally every child star ever especially disney ones. A lot of them did that 180
She's tryna be Miley Cyrus soooo bad it's crazyyy
lol i immediately thought of potter. i mean, he went straight into pr0n. and got ripped.
My brain immediately jumped to Miley. And her "turn" to adulthood was especially tricky since she spent practically her whole childhood being owned by Disney nobody in the non-entertainment world knew who she really was. They only believed they did.
Yep, I thought of Miley too. Only Miley did good music 😂 and Jojo is just.... cringe 🙈
Omg the brief moment of Roundabout hit me directly in the nostalgia. I thought I couldn't love your content more than I already do.
I’m starting to think her mum is her PR team
It’s also a lot more than making everything about sex. People have to stop acting like the second you start sexualizing yourself you’re a “true” adult.
shes said it flat out herself, her pr team is HER. everything is her own idea which makes it even more funny because she genuinely thinks its good
@@brookedufault2705 I agree I was being sarcastic. She needs to actually go get a PR team.

8:26 A GAME THEORY!!
Her time on Special Forces was unironically the safest she had been.

@@elliee884I thought that was her coping mechanism for Cameron’s death
Subtlety comes with maturity. That's why all the scene kids used to wear bombastic emo clothing, but they tone down as they mature. Unfortunately, Jojos brand has been loud for so long and shes still young so the bad girl rebrand has to be bombastic too.
Wait, what about the absolute multitude of insane costumes Miley wore during her initial explicit rebrand??

What I'm imagining is pop songs about queer artists telling thier stories
And I'm pretty sure that's existed since before she was born so she might have a bit of trouble inventing it
@@Larsen_illustrations well yes of course but like, the topic of your song isn't the genre of your song.

You are seriously one of the few UA-camrs that approach situations like these with such maturity and an open mind
That was a perfect JoJo impression at the beginning

It actually makes sense that Jojo acts like she's in her early teens, because she basically is. She was forced to act like a 8-10 year old, and only now she finally can act like a rebellious teen
Unironically, the only thing I’ve actually liked JoJo in was that one competitive reality show with the Marines, Special Forces. She wasn’t sanitized and wasn’t aggressively “adult” (lol), she was just another contestant going through tough sh*t.
