RB ROCK Special: Deep Purple in The Voice

- Today I'm bringing a special video, a compilation with perfomances of Deep Purple songs in The Voice, in the case they are 5 different songs of this band that marked the history of the rock, all the songs are in blind auditions and I did not take perfomances that already had used in the channel, then they are presentations that never appeared in this channel, for a great sign perfomances, we have songs from albums like Machine Head and Burn, enjoy this tribute to this great band.

Anybody seeing and hearing Zsuzsanna Cerveni for the first time is struck by the incredible stature of her voice and the mismatch between that excellent voice and her youth.
Zsuzsanna Cerveni has a prodigious talent as a rock singer, who will get even better as she gains more experience.
I don't know who sing "When A Blind Man Cries", but he is best

Blackmore/Gillan/Glover/Lord/Piace were the best band I ever saw, and I had the privilege to see them several times between 1985 and the early 1990's, but while they were all virtuoso performers, it was always clearly Blackmore's band and the songs were always a vehicle for the guitar.
I was in a great presentation of Deep Purple here in Bogota three years ago with three of its original members Ian Gillen/Roger Glover/ Ian Piace, it was great to see in a concert to one of the best bands that has given the rock

He is literally the only one to sing with emotion too sadly. The rest of the performances were like if mannequins could sing.
Best of this is he doesn't copycat Gillan a bit

First and last were Greeks from Greek Voice.Of course Burn wasn't the best choice for our juicy lady, but she has it...Guy with bowtie... could have avoid it, Gillan and bowtie isn't the best combination around.But proves 1 thing that GREECE LOVES DEEP PURPLE.

The performance of Burn was ruined by the guitar riff being played with out the proper dynamics/feel and some sliding between frets. Luckily it wasn't a guitar competition and she got a turn. When a blind man cries, was the best performance IMO. WABMC was relegated to being the b side for the single "Never before" in 1972. Was left off the Machine Head album because Ritchie didn't like it. I think it has one of his best solos .... slow melodic and full of expression. He may have been right as it went on to be their most successful album and Purple played some great versions of it live, after Ritchie quit. Check out the Live album "Deep Purple live at the Olympia". Steve Morse and Jon Lord combine to make it an epic version.

Too bad the bands on these shows are pretty much hidden; almost an afterthought because, yes, it is a competition for vocalists, but I still feel like the bands deserve more recognition. They're pretty much always spot-on, and they have to play many different genres' songs too. Just a thought...

@@annacosta2939 Funny that you mention that; I always thought the same as far as the bands most likely enjoying it most when they get to play rock and metal songs. I myself only listen to hard rock/heavy metal music. I also play guitar- mainly metal & rock like Maiden, Priest, etc. and have recorded a few average covers on my YT channel this past year or so. It's just for fun; not a pro, just self-taught but I love it...
@@jenraider72 that's cool! I just listen to rock and roll as well, I love Sabbath and all classic rock bands. I'm a huge fan of The Doors and all those hippie bands from the 60s too. I have a drums set and usually practice every day. I also play rythm guitar, but nothing fancy. I bet those bands hate when contestants sing rap and pop crap😂. They probably think... Here we go, playing Beyonce, Jelo, Kate Perry, Lady Gaga, etc etc for the 100th time 😂!

The first one sings really well, but she lacks the energy the song requires; Didn't pass any emotion. The girl who sang "Mistreated" was one of the best ones, but also need to put more emotion and power in her performance. The guy who sang "When a bling man cries" was the best, emotionally and vocally, good job man, cheers from Los Angeles✌💛🌻
