Paul's comedy feels like smooth grassy hills. At the top of each hill you see something abstract and surreal. Not sure what it is, but Paul is there to sign a contract with it.
I love how there's a heckler in the audience that says 'No' at the beginning and Paul masterfully just ignores it and goes onto deliver his brilliant material. Utterly love it xxx
I think it's not so much that it's old, it's that what Merton is trying to do here, standard American-style cheap-suit standup, is (a) not really his strong suit and (b) usually not very funny in the best of circumstances. There's probably a reason why he switched to the improv scene - he's a lot funnier when he's working off the cuff.
@@Lazy_Sundae The notion that your having an opinion requires any sort of learning in order to be coped with, is a notion that resides only in your head. I was simply pointing that discrimination and jokes are distinct categories. At no point was Merton discriminating against anyone.

It's weird how old comedy doesn't seem funny, I wonder why that is.
