Interesting, I thought you had to install a unibios in order to to that. However you have green blood now, and that can't be changed from within the game can it?
When in the USA region setting Samurai Shodown 2 has green blood that can't be changed without the UniBIOS cheat. However, SS3 and SS4 can run in the Japanese region setting and the game can be switched to English language, effectively giving the option of an English version with no censoring. This is the same with many of the other fighters on the NGCD (especially the KOF series), so if installing the UniBIOS isn't an option then it's best to use this region mod and install a switch to toggle between its settings.
Does anyone know if you can just get the small gauge wire and tape it in place so both ends are touching the contacts? I don't have a soldering gun and I wouldn't really want to buy one for a 2 second install. Nor do I know anyone that has one. Just curious if it was possible to do a budget install. Thanks!
Hi, can you recommend a good upscaler? I've been watching your SMSII videos and the picture quality you are getting out is amazing, mine just has a basic RCA output mod and I've been through two upscallers so far and both give a really poor picture, color all messed up and the screen jumps around a whole lot, makes it basically unusable.
I'd recommend the Retrotink 2x...there is a newer budget model that just has composite and s-video which would be ok for your sms2 since you only have stock if I understood you correctly. I think the device is around $70. this will upscale your sms to 480 if I understand it well. check out retro rgb on youtube as he has a review & knows the guy behind it, Mike Chi.
Curious to know. What kind of mod you can do for the power supply i ordered a power supply connector over 1 month ago still have not receive it. So im exploring other options.
The entire title screen changed as it's called Spirits in Japan not Shodown. I've seen this done before but been reluctant to do it myself as American mode actually censors the games. Bye bye blood and bouncing boobs! Be cool to do the switch though
I had a US system. It does censor the games but most have blood codes. Well, Samurai Shodown 1, Metal Slug 1 and 2 don't have blood codes. Not sure if KoF 94 had a blood and bouncy code, but I know KoF95 does.
Very cool mod mate and quite simple to boot. I dont own a neo geo but if I ever do now know how to change it to English mode. Thank you!
No worries
glad to see a new video :)
More to come!
Fantastic. You were clear. It is interesting. I need to try this. Thanks.
@@brandonginsburg3120 I’m currently making part two, the power conversion
I just bought a japanese one. This video makes my day!
Hi. I like your work.
But why did you choose the U.S.A. mode?
Isn't E U R better in terms of censorship for the 90's?
Is it the same process on a CDZ? Thanks for sharing
Nice to see a new video. Great that it was Neo Geo cd. Will you be getting the ode that's coming soon?
Thanks. No I don't plan on keeping this console, actually it up for sale now
Really good mod very helpful
Will this work for the Samurai Showdown JPRG?
You lose red blood if modded to usa . As seen in the how to demo japan red usa green
Hey mate, how are you doing? Has the baby taken over all your time? Hope you are ok my friend and survived the plandemic.
Doing well thanks. Hope you are too. I’ll be back on UA-cam very soon. Planning some new videos this week.

Wow thats crazy I had no idea thats how they did that! Is that how they control language on all video games?

the problem is that if the tape becomes lose it might short something. You could use a glue gun to keep it in place
@@kibecru makes sense! Don't wanna risk ruining it. I'll probably go about it the right way.

RetroTINK, yes. I have 2X & 5X. They are both very flexible for ANY kind of setup, especially the latter.
Would Love to see a video on modding the power!!
You got it!

Make it run on 3 phases 400V! Plx ;)
Is there a 50/60hz mod for this console as well?
Yes.
I think so... but I have not tried that EUR jumper setting yet.
Does this make Japanese games play in English?
"Didn't watch, don't care" syndome?
