I used to listen to this on the way to school. School was 12 minutes' driving away. If I started the song right after I started the engine, it would usually end right as I was pulling into a parking lot. Best quarter of college I ever had.
Protip guys: This isn't exactly entirely an original Boris song - It's effectively a cover version of "In a Broken Dream" by Python Lee Jackson (recorded with Rod Stewart). Look it up.
It really does. I'd be willing to bet you haven't even listened to it. It's practically identical, same tune, same tempo, save for Boris having played it in a lower key, dragged it out, put their own destinctive edge on it and changed the lyrics. Seriously, give it another listen. Listen to the bass line in particular, it's identical.
If you like this song, you should definitely check out the version of this song on their Variations album, which I uploaded to my channel! I find the mix in that version to be quite an improvement!
Lol dude, you're seriously the first person who's responded to that comment who hasn't said, "Those songs are overrated!" Congratulations. Yeah, it's my opinion, but it's always just someone's opinion.
I am in love with this song. I honestly think it's in the same league as Stairway to Heaven or Bohemian Rhapsody. I know that sounds like blasphemy, but it's just so damn good. It's too bad the whole song couldn't fit though.
@lordporksword Yeah, no. Not even close. The bassline is pretty close, I'll give you that, but that's all. Still two completely different songs and I feel sorry for you if you can't hear that.
@lordporksword I'm sorry, but you're just wrong. There's some similarity in the base line, but it is not identical. In no way does this classify as a cover.
@faecrool Lol, this has officially reached the point of ridiculousness. Dude, you can't possibly think you're the first person to say this to me. If you scroll down just a little, you'll see someone else saying almost the exact same thing. I've gotten this exact comment like thirty times already. If you knew how cliche'd it was, you probably wouldn't be saying it to me.
@thesmelliestwizard *facepalm* Dude seriously, you're literally like the tenth person to tell me this. I was getting this exact comment like at least once a month at one point. Honestly, it's kind of a predictable thing to say in the first place.
@TerzoVolto Oh my God, dude, you can't possibly think you're the first person to say this to me. Will someone please just thumbs down my comment so I'll stop getting this same thing in my email every month?

I know what you mean - and I totally agree. Saw them twice playing this song live and it was mind-blowing awesome!

This song makes me feel happy to be alive. Plus she so pretty.
Mark K do you mean wata the guitairist of the band?
Mark K no he means takeshi obviously

@TheEnlightenedTruth Also, if this constitutes a cover, then we haven't had an original rock song since 1959!
This is fucking rad. Yes, rad. Haven't used that word since I was 6, this has resurrected it.
whoa.
the perfect chilling after a hard day song.
:D thanks, Boris!
this song goes a long way towards explaining why i still listen to rock'n'roll. i don't have to say NUTHIN'...
badass
So so good.
why did you skipped the first section of the song. That was amazin too.
TEMAZOOOO
Very true!
If you like this song, you should definitely check out the version of this song on their Variations album, which I uploaded to my channel! I find the mix in that version to be quite an improvement!
@thedeathsound Well, I was thinking more in terms of the EPIC vibe of both songs, not necessarily the rocking out factor.
If they had Boris's riffs back then maybe they coulda deflected those two atom bombs
Class!
I love it! Where's the love button?
Look at my girl! Look at my girl! Aaaah!
This is so Black Sabbath-ish! I LOVE IT!
Lol dude, you're seriously the first person who's responded to that comment who hasn't said, "Those songs are overrated!" Congratulations. Yeah, it's my opinion, but it's always just someone's opinion.
@thejesman this masterpiece is way better than those overrated songs...

salve brasil
The bass line is more like a slowed-down White Room by Cream.
soooo desert rock.
come to Brazil
consider come
BRICKS WERE SHAT
@TheFigueroa007 Lol, congratulations for being the 100th person to tell me this.
Fucking A, they're playing the Hotel Utah!
@Hjaltivondi Lol, any particular reason, or you just felt like saying something crazy?
please remember to practice zazen today
Sitting quietly doing nothing. Except listening to wailing guitars
@lordporksword Yeah, no. Not even close. The bassline is pretty close, I'll give you that, but that's all. Still two completely different songs and I feel sorry for you if you can't hear that.
Can't Japanese people rock more efficiently than twelve minutes at a time?
hahaha
No, no they cannot. I say the more Boris the better.
dude i am just glad they didn't
This is your life on fast food culture. Avoid it.
Just words, dude. They're the same bands regardless of what you call them.
@thejesman I'm sorry D:
@lordporksword

In your opinion.
ANYWAY, moderately pointless song comparisons aside, pretty cool. Very "groovy."
"those songs are overrated!" is exactly what i almost said haha
@thejesman Stairway is overrated anyway. It's just a classic.
Because it's completely impossible to make cross-genre comparisons? Wha?
@thejesman Why don't you just delete your comment?
@thesmelliestwizard *facepalm* Dude seriously, you're literally like the tenth person to tell me this. I was getting this exact comment like at least once a month at one point. Honestly, it's kind of a predictable thing to say in the first place.
@thejesman id even say its better man.
this isn't half bad. Not what I was expecting
BLASPHEMY.
that song doesnt sound anything like this one
@TerzoVolto Oh my God, dude, you can't possibly think you're the first person to say this to me. Will someone please just thumbs down my comment so I'll stop getting this same thing in my email every month?
but Bohemian Rhapsody is awful.
What the fuck did you just say, mate? 🤯😬
