I am in uk ,77 years old and an average musician. In 79 someone loaned me the Crusaders album with Randy, I was blown away with Street Life!!!!!!! Now in 2024 I find the live version on UA-cam. Its giving me great memories and tears of joy. The song, the arrangement, musicanship and Randy's delivery is just outstanding what else can I say. Thanks for posting.

Indeed. One of the greatest singers of all time. Happy they appreciate her in Europe. Here in The Netherlands you can still buy many of her records/cd's in store, without having to order them online.

No unfortunately. The market has shifted to electronic music. Even a good song of this quality will probably just be ignored by these new generations or dismissed as their grandpa's music, sadly. But there's hope. Musical instruments have gotten cheaper and hopefully the more the kids learn about musical instruments the more will appreciate real music and make more played music, not electronics.

this is no disco but soul...make the same mistake, this was in the bars who mostly named it with disco behind. I was 15 in 1980...25 in 1990, the best years in music, with gems from earlier, later so many kinda music , the cd time, glad we go back again to vinyl albums, waving from Best , close way up Eindhoven 10km.

Randy Crawford & The Crusaders - Street Life.
Randy Crawford has the most sensuous voice and she puts such passion in this song.
She knows just exactly what an audience expect from her and she delivers a song from her soul.
The Saxophone is such a necessary musical instrument 🎷 for this song.
This has a funky, jazzy influence which is most definitely the kind of music I love ❤️ to listen to.
The video photography is really good as it shows the performers.
I absolutely love this song it’s a really well enacted type of music.
Well done, Randy and all the Crusaders especially the Saxophone player.
    Thank You 🙏
