I knew a boy who was swallowed by the sky By the flashing lights I knew a man who got lost in the big dark blue And came out alive I knew a boy I knew a man that looked a lot like you I knew a time you could stand still beside Never rushing by I knew a place you'd go for your head to explode Into peace of mind I knew a time I knew a place that felt a lot like you I knew a boy I knew a man who looked a lot like you Just like you I knew a friend that would hold on to the flames Keep them from burning you I knew a smile like that could see through all of the stones That the world had thrown I knew a smile I knew a friend who looked a lot like you I knew a boy I knew a man who looked a lot like you
I was wondering what he was doing standing there at the start. His demeanor was strange. I had never seen a man preparing for a saw solo before. Forgive me.
Patrick Watson brought me here.
Tom Misch's majestic cover brought me here. But I heard the singing saw first in my dreams :)
me too
Same! What a beautiful piece of work!
same
I knew a boy who was swallowed by the sky
By the flashing lights
I knew a man who got lost in the big dark blue
And came out alive
I knew a boy I knew a man that looked a lot like you
I knew a time you could stand still beside
Never rushing by
I knew a place you'd go for your head to explode
Into peace of mind
I knew a time I knew a place that felt a lot like you
I knew a boy I knew a man who looked a lot like you
Just like you
I knew a friend that would hold on to the flames
Keep them from burning you
I knew a smile like that could see through all of the stones
That the world had thrown
I knew a smile I knew a friend who looked a lot like you
I knew a boy I knew a man who looked a lot like you
It's criminal that masterpieces like this get so little view...Tom Misch's cover is very pleasing but this is soooo much richer.
Saying this is so much richer is just not objective my friend. Both are rich in their own right
I prefer Mischs version. The falsetto in the original is just off for me.
I respectfully disagree. Tom brought a new level of deepness and emotional relatability to the song
Patrick.
I absolutely love Patrick Watson and only discovered Tom because of his cover of Man Like You... And...
I definitely prefer Tom Misch's cover.
Just lost a friend to Mental Health Struggles. This song really resonates with me in this difficult moment. Thank you.
never thought a song with a saw used as a musical instrument would bring me to tears. Absolutely briliant
This piece of music moves me in a way that no other piece does. X
Such a dreamy song feels like floating on a tin raft. And such a super talented group of people
bless this song! had an amazing time doing a cover of it
Man, i love your voice, is just... magic.
A Masterpiece! No doubt. Exellent work!
What a version, what a song!
The saw 😍
I was wondering what he was doing standing there at the start. His demeanor was strange. I had never seen a man preparing for a saw solo before. Forgive me.

I’m here from c'est pas moi je le jure (:
Life’s not made for me, but i seem to be made for life.
Hair reminds me of when you havent showered in a day and your hair gets windswept backwards lol
He kinda sounds like Jacob collier when he goes into his falsetto
i've never seen someone play a saw
C'est pas moi je le jure !
Sorry Tom Mischs' cover is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than this. Like miles beyond.
Totally agree
This man looks homeless
