    I’ve been very happy with my F pulse.. it’s very sensitive and powering up in the open air Maximizes the mineral sensitivity and thus a very small amount of mineralization will hit. 1 quick press of the button with the PP to the ground and bam.. resolved!
    Ground balance baby!

      It has a retune feature if it is falsing you don't have to turn it off!! Just touch it on the dirt and if it is falsing simply just push the on button once while it is falsing!! No need to turn it back off and back on again touching the dirt.

      Adventures In Dirt .. no prob bud. It is a great pinpointer and as long as you touch it to the ground you are good with max depth. You can also calibrate it to desensitize it to stop the falsing but you lose depth. Better to touch it to the ground while turning it on. Been testing it for the last couple hours on best practices. Thing is crazy sensitive and deep.

    Thanks for sharing the video. Quick question. When you set it to vibrate only mode, is it completely silent when you turn it off and on? I have the TRX and in silent/vibrate mode it beeps when you turn it on/off and beeps with the lost alarm if you don't turn it off. I like being completely silent when detecting around camp sites early morning..

    These pinpointers also have a wireless module in them for the new lineup of Fisher and Teknetics machines whenever they are finally released. Looks good though. I'm about to compare the TRX to the Tek-Point. If my prognostication holds true, the Tek should have the depth and sensitivity of the TRX but carry the performance through higher mineralization than the TRX can stand. I'm hoping the Tek won't need to be constantly detuned like the TRX.

    I loved the F-Pulse but they don't last. I bought one that lasted almost a month before it developed a death screech & died. The box I got it out of was really faded so I thought it may have been a 1 off & replaced it however the replacement screeched right out of the box but I live an hour away & I wasn't driving back an hour both ways since I'd already lost 2 hours of metal detecting on my day off. Used it with the screech for a couple weeks & sure enough the screech got worse & died. So third times the charm... tested it in the parking lot & had that same screech but (I have videos of the last 2 right out of the box) I wanted to detect & they only had the other cheap pinpointers in stock so I used it for (receipt says) 20 days before the 3rd one died today. They didn't have another one to replace it with but I didn't want another one anyway. I'm frustrated with it. I know how it sounds to have gone through 3 in not even 3 months but I have video of the issue right out of the box. I was insanely careful after the first one died. Never submerged, never dropped, never ever used to pry or abused. The second F-pulse you could hear something had let go & was actually rattling around inside. I LOVED the F-pulse when it's working but I hate always wondering if today will be the day it craps out & I lose my day of detecting. I guess I will have to use a cheapy until I can order in the Garret Carrot.

      @@IffySignals I know right!? If it hadn't happened to me I probably wouldn't believe it myself but I really am overly gentle with all my equipment. Had to be because I couldn't afford to replace it. Thank you for the insight. I appreciate that. Did you ever get a chance to try the Garret yourself?

    • @IffySignals
      @IffySignals  Рік тому +1

      @matthewfinch2479 yea used the garrett for a long time, switched to the profind 35 for the ferrous id and been comfortable with that one.

    • @DetectSouthernOntario2479
      @DetectSouthernOntario2479 Рік тому

      @@IffySignals Ok thanks. Yeah I picked up the Garret & so far I'm fairly pleased with it. Just a couple small things like not being a fan of the 9volt battery because of the expense & I already had all kinds of rechargables double A"s. Pretty minor though & I find the F-Pulse seemed like it had more range to pinpoint the target before digging. Otherwise as long as it doesn't die on me like the F-Pulse I'm happy with it. Both the F-Pulse & the Garret need a better system for changing sensitivity though. It's inconvenient, time consuming & I have a feeling all that button pushing will affect the longevity of the device. I probably would have gone with the Minelab 35 for that reason alone had there been one available locally. Anyway sorry for the novel & thank you for the insight.

    All probes I've ever used needed to be in contact with the ground, especially in the more mineralised dirts, when you switch one on, to GB them mate. Nothing new their, with respect to you.

    • @IffySignals
      @IffySignals  6 років тому +2

      Timothy Rogers . Thanks for the feedback Tim. I am hearing more of that since posting the video. Me personally have not had that much experience with them. The first one i had was the $40 one on ebay that looks like the garrett and the second was the garret. Neither one of those needed to be turned on while touching the ground. This is the most sensitive PP ive ever used. I just leave it on med sensitivity and it works fine.

    • @timrogers2045
      @timrogers2045 6 років тому +2

      Hi there Iffy Signals; yep they certainly seem to be very effective. Graeme Rushton of Unearthed UK Ltd, who is a top man, with over 30 years of proper hands-on metal detecting, rates them as the best probes he has ever seen, or used. That is some statement of praise from him. Graeme has no difficulty in calling a stick, a stick. Thank you for your very good video..... Perhaps check out the recent video, ' Tek-point probe at unearthed uk', on Y Tube, if you wish. It's the only time that I have heard Graeme this excited over a new product.

    • @IffySignals
      @IffySignals  6 років тому +3

      Mark Hagopian - hi Mark, i tested that as well and pushing the button while it is turned on and falsing desensitizes it “just like if you were moving in closer to a target” and Loses some depth. It will not hit the 4.5 inch penny that way. Touching it to the ground and turning it on will keep the full sensitivity, depth and keep it stable. Both do work to get it to stop falsing. But the way i am doing it in the video keeps it DEEP, DEEP, DEEP.. HH

    I dnt like when my pin pointer is over sensitive it makes items to hard to find the idea is to pinpoint if it's the same as but detector whit good is it people think go deep go deep that's not what you want with a pin pointer. If it goes off soon as you put it in the hole that's no 👍
