People talk about broaching not understanding if it is not deep and you need it for clearance then what? I shove paper towels in a socket about twice per year to put on a nut so be realistic deep broaching is the best and I would not buy sockets without it!
One thing I love about the tekton set over the gearwrench is the shoulder length on the smaller sized deep sockets. They’re much longer than the gearwrench
No the stubby ratchet did not come in the set. Around Christmas they had a deal for the 3/8 and 1/4 stubby for really cheap years ago when I got them. Hoping for a Christmas deal again this year I could use a 3/8 or 1/2 set for my current job. We have tools at work but I like having my own stuff.
I think the biggest complaint would be the warranty. Gear wrench you need to drive to the store and then they tell you your screwed for three weeks or more till they get you a replacement. The tekton you take a picture and the send you a replacement and you never left your house .
I really wanted the gearwrench set but didn’t see it for less than $70. I found the tekton set for $25 or 30 from home depot and it gets the job done. That was with a 72 tooth ratchet that feels pretty sloppy though
I got the set replace because a lot of bad imperfections I didn’t notice when I made the video. I have the replacement with the plastic still and considering selling it but also I still like having stuff I don’t need. I do like the tekton set a lot it’s a great value. The GW broaching is nicer but for me it’s not too big of a deal I don’t wrench for a living.
I am a definite Tekton fan. When you look at the Gear Wrench set the second you opened the case sockets went everywhere. I don't like having to spend time putting everything back in order before I can even use a tool. With Tekton everything stays in place. You open the case and can immediately use the tools. You also need to work on your filming a little. Keeping everything in focus is important.

People like the shoulder height till you back your ratchet in to a corner or frame

Did that second ratchet come with the Tekton set?

I got the tekton set and just purchased the 15mm deep and shallow from tekton website, to have a full complete set
Cant blame you for doing it! Sockets get addicting because I always want my sets complete.
Party on top and business on the bottom , that's what I'm talking bout

Of course friend! Simple way to pass the time.
Tekton all the way
Buddy owns a gearwrench set so I brought my tekton set in, he was sour loll
The tekton is just a better value imo overall. Now I’m looking into buying a master bit set been considering the Capri it’s torx Allen and e torx
TEKTON is better
