- Welcome back to another episode and thank you for being here for our journey.
In this episode our roof top tinny boat installation scared us so we decided to take action rather than risking it.
In this channel you will find that we aren't just sharing all the highs with you but we are showing our reality, which may be different than others, although we wanted to share it all.
After seeing a little bit of movement we decided we weren't comfortable with completing our travels without putting another system in place. Since doing so we felt so much more comfortable in our set up to travel to Victoria to complete some works on our investment property prior to hitting the road and traveling full time.
Whilst were in Victoria we will be adding another measures and a extra system, drop down below what you recommend whilst keeping in mind we do have a roof weight limit of 100kgs!
Thank you again and we will see you on the next one
Best Comedy channel on UA-cam 😅😅😅
I'm glad you like the videos
The tiedown straps are vibrating in the wind, if you put a half twist in each side it will disappear.
wow really I didn't no that man thank you for the heads up bro
You need to make a hard top cover on the tinny to stop wind from going under it by doing that you’ll be safe and also save a heap more on fuel economy
we didn't no they make them we will look into to now 😊
@@thatfalzonfamily in Australia anything can be made if you want it . Or you can get a Torno cover made like the back of the utes
Didn't need to install those bolts in the roof rails. Just need straps twice as long to go under the bars and over the boat twice. Much stronger than using those eyelets.
Can't believe that the Brisbane Yamaha guys allowed you to leave with the boat attached like that.
its got 6 straps on it, its not going any where my friend,
@@thatfalzonfamily you could use 100 straps and still not secure your boat adequately because they're not installed properly.
Watch ua-cam.com/video/XTaXFE3roPo/v-deo.htmlsi=oppTNIUvIM-514js and see how to secure a load to your roof. You don't just wrap the strap around the boat once and under the roof rail like it was and hope for the best. You learnt that when your load lifted when driving past the Brisbane airport. Also the bolted eyelets through the rail are not as strong as looping the strap under the rail and having 2 lengths of strap going over the boat.
2 straps done right is better than your 6 poorly fitted ones.
Please take your setup to a RACV, NRMA, RACQ or RAA towing course and learn from the experts. They will give you plenty of valuable advice. You can't keep learning from mistakes. Sooner or later, one of your mistakes (learning experiences), is going to injure of kill you or someone around you.
@@thatfalzonfamily Get rid of those blue straps totally, they're pulling the sides of the boat horizontally inwards, and not pulling the boat down. That's why you boat was moving side to side and lifting a bit. They're actually doing damage to the boat and your roof rails by putting too much sideways force, squashing the boat horizontally and putting shear force on your roof rails.
PLEASE GO TO A DEDICATED ROOF RACK STORE WITH YOUR VEHICLE AND BOAT AND HAVE THEM ADVISE YOU ON HOW TO PROPERLY SECURE YOUR LOAD!!!
Don't remove your headrest it's against thelaw as it's their for whiplash etc safe travels guys
thank you for the heads up man
Yous should really find a better spot for Rocco..
he could potentially end with anxiety or depression from being stuck in that most days
hes fine there he sleeps in the car, thank you for the heaps up
@@thatfalzonfamily okay no worries, no hate love the content. Just thought I’d say

Hey guys! Another great down to earth episode. We love your honesty and how you tell it as it is. Can you please tell us the name of the fuel ap that youre using? Thanks so much and keep your episodes coming. We’re really enjoying them. How cool a guy is Caravan Steve. Hes gone beyond doing his job of selling caravans. He seems like a top bloke. So from us to you, ‘Happy and very safe travels. ❤
Thank you so much! It’s called My 7 Eleven! It’s great has some good deals on there also. He certainly is! Thank you so much again, see you on the next one 😊
We got a guest star in this episode the old veteran boat 🤙🏻
yes we did, cant to start fishing again
If it was me I would be adding a tie down from the front of the boat to the tow point at the front of the Y62, similiar to when you have a kayak or stand up paddle board on the roof.
Recommend traveling with your blinds down. This will prevent stretching / distortion. 😊
You could have some rubberised padded sleeves made up to slide over the ratchet straps to aid in grip and padding without having to adjust it and eliminate the chance of the padding coming out during driving
cheers man I will look into it my friend
Wow that’s scary especially what it can do with other people since I just boat my new boat it’s been scary driving it since every time we go over a bump the trailer jumps and I think my boat going to fly off great video tho surprised how fast Betsy flew
what boat did you buy?
@@thatfalzonfamily a 4 meter tinny and a 30 hp Yamaha engine love ya vids Alex and Luke
@@thatfalzonfamily it’s my first one too
If you are on 240v power you still need to run the electric hot water other wise your tank won’t fill. Use gas when off grid.
Hey guys. When are you actually gona "hit the road"? I gota say I fast fwded 21 mins of this. Loved Luke's fishing but the last few vids bore me. I wana see fishing and travel spots etc all the fun shit we at homers" can't do lol. It's good to see you guys learning slowly tho yer. Ya channel needs a boost. My first video of use moving to Cairns was great. Then fishing great. I don't think ppl wana watch ya shops for ugg boots or bunnos bolts. Just trying to help. Be safe and enjoy ... but get creative..ta🎉
Bugger i was hoping we would get 1 hr live stream at Bunnings running up and down aisles. Dam
yeah not long now we are sorry but Luke will start fishing soon and we will be on the road soon we are sorry
lol I dont no if your being serious or not
its not just about the high lights bro its about showing the hole journey
@@thatfalzonfamily haven't seen any highs in 2 months since ya fishing in cairns... but if ya fans don't count ya channel won't grow. No worries
You need like I said in you last vlog, a cover on your boat whilst ontop on the car that'll stop the wind rushing under it.. my husband is a trimmer
I have never seen that before? has it been done?
So do you need a cover made.? my husband is a marine trimmer in Werribee
You dont want wind under the nose of that roof-mounted boat. Itll end in disaster somewhere
yeah its hard man wind is everywhere man its like water bro how are you?
I feel sorry for poor Rocco stuck in that cage in the back
Agree always wondered if he can breathe well :(
I feel sorry for luke she is a ball breaker..🙄
Wife keeps asking if I see Rocko out of the cage everything stacked around him facing the back door with heaps more to stack on top of him.
Never saw a water bowl next to him all the times he was tired up either .
I've had dogs on the road in an RV. It's the best life for dogs. He's going to be with his family every day, and have new places to explore. They're a bit challenged in every way while they get this equipment and lifestyle all set up, so everyone is having to compromise a bit, but the the pay-off will be huge- for Rocko too. They love their dog as a family member. I don't think people need to worry.
I remember stopping at bunnings and seeing your rig parked out there. You guys weren't around to say hi too.
no way thats crazy as should of came to say Hi bro, are you from Brisbane?
@@thatfalzonfamily I am, I work at Brisbane Kawasaki just up the road from Bunnings.
I was there but dog fencing to stop our dog chewing our caravan wires, when I went up the escalator I was like check out that rig. Was a couple of weeks ago of course.
Great Video once again,
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi mate great video the V8 a 5.6 litre 400hp in the patrol.
yes it is bro
You guys need to use your hot water on gas not electricity when free camping
Hi Guys, don't forget your towing mirrors
thank you so much 😊 how are you?
You need to check out Almac boat loaders
Hey guys have you seen “The Cartwrights” they lock their boat down with latches instead of straps
ua-cam.com/video/lZE4yo0LyeE/v-deo.html&si=UWaJU3qP5sOV7H5v
Does the pups commander the bed in the night, ahahaha
Can your hot water run on gas when off grid? What battery capacity do you have?
Ps. Love the vids
yes we can man cheers brother hope your well man
You should have bought the new boat in Geelong
hahaha whys that?
When yous get on the road be prepared with more jocky straps
Alex what’s the fuel lock in App you use please explain thanks hun ❤
It’s just the 7/11 app
its just 7 11 app ♥️
Move the whole boat back guys over hang the back so the wing when the door goes up its inside it
then we cant open the back tail gate
Yeah you can bro check out our channel where our boat sits we can still open the rear the wing goes up inside the boat mate
Your straps are vibrating put a twist in them and it will stop the noise
You guys scare me, yikes
its all fine
@@thatfalzonfamilyhave you been bothered to get weights checked? you cant just keep “ winging “ things…
It’s just the strap noise don’t stress it’s normal
cheers man yeah its just wind now
@@thatfalzonfamily yeah I wouldn’t stress I don’t like how the blue straps are on it I wouldn’t do it like that I’d have the blue ones set the same as you put the little orange ones
Tow mirrors?
yes
Hope you experienced that weight off your shoulders feeling
yes we did man
