You can use your car or car battery to power the bore hole or a small jackery style power bank. Or a small solar panel can power it too. But like you said you are doing it the most economic way so thats fair play. Even without the borehole you can still buy treated water from the Ghana water company with a proper clean water tanker for your home use till you get the borehole sorted. Also investigate with the water company to see if they have already laid supply pipes nearby. Similar to the electricity you can get connected and with your tank even if there's a break in water supply that tank can take care of you.

With the tap of the water tank they need to install it with an adapter to fit the size of the pipe. They can also use the plumbing tape to go round the tap thread to make it fit the size and then screw it in.

Please create a bin for them not to litter the compound with plastics and other rubbish. You can also add some tomato and chillies on the land. If the guy weeds with the hoe it wouldn't disturb the crops you have planted. Best to use the hoe and not cutlass/ machete because that will damage your crops.
I have the seeds to plant but I don’t want to plant anything else if it’s not done the way I would like it. I will most likely wait until I am staying at home so I could do it myself.

Yes we use the tape and the adapter but we didn’t have the tools to screw it properly. When the plumber comes back he will fix it properly.
