  • Made from footage shot while in Haiti in 1981 working for THE 10 O'Clock News, on WNYW-TV in NYC. Video location equipment was quite primitive, shooting with an RCA TK-76 3-tube camera and a Sony BVU-110 3/4" videocassette recorder.

Since I have been living in the US for a while and since the Haitian diaspora's resources can be a hope for Haiti, please help me spread the word that a Haitian diaspora plan for Haiti is urgently needed. Thank you. It makes me humble to see images of an era gone by of my beloved Haiti. There is a fundamental flaw in Aubelin Jolicoeur's views. It's not Duvalier that needed to open his eyes; it is the whole oligarchic system that needed to be overthrown by a political revolution and replaced with an endogenous and democratic system of government.

The struggle must continue to have a new Haiti. Nothing has really changed except there was peace but the misery remains the same. We need a revolution to change the system and to bring new ideas, we need to have determination, a good faith and a desire to bring peace and prosperity to this nation who has been suffered for too long.
