First Camping Trip with My New Horse Beauty! Can She Lead The Way?

- Hey Horse Lovers! Beauty, my 4-year-old mare, is going on her FIRST camping trip EVER! I will also be bringing Zazu, Arlo, & Gaston plus 3 of my students, Koa, and of course Kyle! This is Part 2 of our adventure and in the first half you saw us Gallop through the fields, swim in the pond, and camp with the horses. It's truly an exhilarating experience. In Part 2 you will get to see how Beauty does leading on the trail! We were truly blessed to be able to ride with these amazing views, luscious fields, sparkling woods, and more. Watch how Beauty handles camping, trail riding, SWIMMING, and even GALLOPING!!!! We will be hacking out through the meadows and trotting through the forest. Shae is just a hoot and a holler!! She gives her horses, students, equine colleagues, video audience, etc. the total equestrian package; warts and all along with the bliss. Barn yard/stable/paddock grunge to glitz and glamor. So much experience and knowledge wrapped up in a sweet, sweet heart.
As others have said, these first person trail riding vlogs almost feels like being there yourself. Thank you for taking us along.
With where Beauty is at in her training at such a young age she’ll definitely be one of those bomb proof horses that you’ll be able to do anything with in 20 years.

Beauty is the way she is because she was trained with love, not force. Makes her progress a joy to take her as far as you wish. Loved this video. Such a neat place to camp and ride. Thanks for posting.

Yes he has a larger stride compared to the others haha. He’s much larger.

From the moment Shae bought Beauty, I felt that Beauty would become her favorite. And who could blame her, Beauty is so cool, calm and collected!

Beauty is an amazing horse. She wasn’t afraid of anything while leading the way. She just looked at some things but kept on going. I agree when you said that if she’s this amazing now, just think how much more amazing she’ll be a few years from now. Thank you for sharing your trail rides with us.

Beauty is stupendous and did a great job leading for the first time. She was aware and her ears picking up the noises, but she was more confident than you'd think for her first time. The girl is special. Gaston looks like he had a crush on her and wanted to show off on the open field. Zazu and Arlo were brilliant too and both laidback boys. Koa is the cutest splashing about. I had many horses when I was younger, some very hot, others pretty chill. Now that I'm older, I would love to own a horse like Beauty who just seems perfect with no worries or marish dramatics. What a find!

Gaston is stunning! Each of your horses have their own unique qualities. They are all beautiful. Beauty is a standout for sure. Arlo and Zazu are lovely, too.

What an amazing campground … it has such beautiful riding areas. So glad Beauty rose up to the task at hand. She definitely came to you with a good foundation, thus, it makes your job so much quicker and easier to fine tune her.
I think when the time comes, it won’t be easy letting her go but then again who knows … maybe you’ll find a larger farm or eventually acquire more land. Then perhaps it would allow you to hang onto those precious horses that come along once in a blue moon. No doubt she would be a feather in your cap as one of your riding school horses.

I had fun watching Beauty's ears until I realized she was being bothered by deer flies. 🐴❤ When I think back in history of how hard the Pony Express horses must have worked, running that hard for such long distances, I feel sadness. Your horses are treated so well. I wish all horses could be as lucky as yours.

What a great ride - Lordy, hate the deerflies in the woods! I used to put an ear bonnet on my mare to protect her ears, and some of us also hung little dangles from our girths to discourage them. Beauty is such a good girl and you deserve her. She will be happy and continue to learn with you. Thanks for taking me along!

That’s one thing I never ever cared for!
Wearing long pants & tops helped humans but animals didn’t have that choice. (Not sure if The fly spray would help?)

I used to get welts and it would take weeks to recover. One trick - if you are hiking and they buzz bomb your head - stand againest a tree and since there is no high spot - they will buzz off.
It is so lush there❤️ where i live its completely dry! Beauty is such a gem❤️ im so happy you have her!!❤️
It's so much fun to watch the trail rides. At some parts I leaned back and forward as if I was riding. I lol when I realized what I was doing. I'm not a horse rider. 😂❤🐎

Gaston is magnificent. I would have that horse in an instant if I could, and I like smaller horses, too. The way he was causally trotting in that immense stride yesterday while the others were cantering was breathtaking. His rider is either an ace rider, or that trot is easy to ride, or both.

Another enjoyable trail ride. Beauty really is a gem of a horse. They all are and with the bit less bridles! Wow. No runaways and so responsive. I'm glad you got out trail riding and camping. I use to go out with, a good group of riders. My most memorable were up on Cape Cod and Lake George in the Adirondacks. I've enjoyed this outing. Brings back many happy memories. 😎😎😎
