Looking forward to the continuation! Thinking back, it is strange how rapidly the FJ1100 and VF1000F and GS1150ES/EF went from superbikes to sports tourers. Basically, within a year. In Europe, the VF1000F received an 18in front wheel, but it was the sport touring brother, the VF1000F2 that became the big seller.
Looking forward to this type of video since I have owned a couple of V65 Magnas, a Vmax, a VF1000R interceptor, and a friend of mine has had a couple of 900 Eliminators and a Vmax.
And you just had to mention the Madura. Fond memories of the one I had back uhh...duh.... let me think a second...yea that long ago. Great bike, V4 monster with a 6 speed box drive shaft would kick the back end out sideways! Always considered it a sleeper and was comfortable to boot! ( You need to dig one up Jon hint hint wink wink 😉😀 ).
I owned a beautiful black Madura 1200 around 2000. Sadly, my pictures of it were early digital photos stored on a PC that died. It was more comfortable and better handling than the V-65 and V-Max. Although I would love to film a ride review of the Madura, maybe I can do a "blast from the past" video on it. Cheers!

The changes were rapid indeed! The sportbikes got very focused, very quickly. I'll have to look up pictures of the VF1000F2. Cheers!
