How was the social atmosphere in Beasley? I'm living in Corlew right now and it feels exactly like a hotel.... impossible to meet anybody! I want to live on campus next year and I was wondering if any other options are more social.
Beasley kind of felt that way to me as well. I think most of the dorms and apartments I've spent time in are kind of lacking in a social atmosphere. I can't say for sure, though, because I haven't spend a lot in time in all the dorm options.
I did want to say that as far as the shootings on student Quarters go. They have beefed up security presence on all SQ campuses. And as far as I know not every Student Quarters complex has had shootings there are 3 different complexes that are all owned by Student Quarters.
I'm glad to hear they have increased security. I'm not sure which one has a lot of shootings, but I've just heard it's kind of unsafe.

Since you said a lot of people leave on the weekends, do weekends get a little bit boring for those who live on campus?
It can be. I know I had some boring weekends for sure, but if you have at least a couple friends who stay during the weekends then you can always hang out with them. But yeah, the weekends can be pretty boring. I spend a lot of time during them doing homework.

How long do you have to get to class
It depends on your schedule, but the least amount of time possible in between classes is 15 minutes.
My sat is on March 10th but is 2.54 GPA good enough? If not then I have to do really well on the test then.
The website says that with that GPA you would need a 22 on the ACT or the equivalent of that on the SAT to get in.

Everyone at the orientation were talking about the freshman maze building. Is it really as confusing as people say it is?

I'm glad they're helpful for you! And the building you're talking about is Peck Hall. It is pretty confusing the first few times you go in there, but they've color coded the walls and they have maps of the building in the stairwells that are helpful to find room numbers.

hows the night life at MTSU, like parties and bars just general things to do?
I'm not really a party person, so I'm not super familiar with all the night life. I know there are parties at Greek row and some off campus parties. The Boulevard is the most popular bar I can think of, it's right next to campus. Since MTSU is so close to Nashville it's easy to pop over there and enjoy the night life of a bigger city.

I'm going to MTSU this Fall. But I'm moving in early because I'll be one of the "DA's" and I had NO IDEA HOW IMPORTANT OUR ID CARD's were! They just gave them to us and didn't really say much about it. You literally made me go check in my wallet to see if my ID card was still in there. It is. But I'm highly disappointed because it looks like a mugshot. LOL. 😭
I also, read reviews that there's not much to do on campus and I seen where people said, MTSU is a commuter school. But I didn't know that the food hours are gonna suck. I'm probably going to starve on the weekends which is going to make me not gain the freshman 15 because I'm literally an out-of-state student so, I can't really go home on the weekends lol.
Haha, well hopefully you won't starve, but I have to admit there were some days I barely got anything to eat on the weekends. Thankfully McCallie's is open, as are a couple restaurants so hopefully you like the selection more than me.

I know there are about three Student Quarters complexes near campus, and I'm not sure if most of the shootings happen at the same one, or not. But I do know the Greenland Drive one had a fatal shooting last year. I just stay away from all three of them. I feel like that's the safest option.
