ASU? I've really been considering going there. I went to New Mexico from Virginia and had to come home after my liver shut down and I decided to stay home for the rest of the year and the following year. But I realized that I didn't want to go back. I keep bouncing around ASU in my mind but it keeps coming out of nowhere. I'm not very superstitious or religious, but I feel like something in the universe wants me to go.
Love this :) I love how you said you still love your home state but you just need a change. I try telling my friends and family that now but they don’t really understand why I would want to leave California (I’m going from SoCal to New Jersey) especially since there are so many college options here. I will always love California because all my family is here and I’ve been here my whole life, but I want a change especially since I plan on living on the east coast for my career goal so going to college there will give me an earlier experience to that environment.

Did you have a job while you were in college? Was it on or off campus?
I'm in the same situation. I am from the SF Bay Area and my parents don't understand why I would want to go to school in the south. For me, I am probably going to live in CA all my life, so it would be nice to try something new for a change.
This inspired me to move out of state 🙌 I'm in the same situation where I just need to get out of here !

did you move to a big city?? i’m also from MN, a senior in hs and i’ve been looking at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago! however, unlike you, my mom does not want me to move out of state but i want to 😭 and i joined the guards so they’ll pay for my college. i would just need to buy a car to travel back and forth one weekend a month for the monthly drill. and i think that’s why she would also disapprove but i really want to move. honestly what do you think? idk how to get her approval and it’s important to me 😭

is there such thing as housing scholarship if so how do you apply for it?, because i want to move to another state but im worried what if i can't find a job and i run out of money. i don't want to be homeless.
