Considering this area for our retirement in a few years. This video is very helpful. We would like to speak to about the area as we get closer to retirement!
Easley Taylors Travelers Rest and the surrounding affordable homes around downtown Greenville are my picks looking forward to living in Greenville SC very soon. Great video.
That would be great thanks. When the time comes I will be sure to take you up on the offer .Also my top 2 choices have changed due to my comfort needs its between Simpsonville and Greer. My next top 2 would be Easley Taylors...but all in all I enjoy your videos I will keep using them for my research. 🌱😊
At about 1:05 into the video? That's Westchester subdivision in Easley. You enter from Powdersville Road. There are 185 homes, a clubhouse with a pool, and tennis courts. There is one home for sale there now, listed at 550k. It's a 5bed/3bath with 3200+ sq ft.
Those new homes are atrocious. No curb appeal at all. Just a big box. I guess that's what you get for 200-300k. However, it looks like a lovely town with lots of great outdoor activities and a 30 min drive to Greenville is nothing. I actually found a beautiful home on 10 acres in Easley and that's what brought me to this video. Good job really diving into the community and activities. Real estate is SC is really so affordable compared to many areas in the country.
I've lived here my whole life. I guess there are worse places to live but has become very overcrowded. Planning to relocate when I retire in a few years.
@@HomesoftheUpstate Thank you. It’s really tough to find ACCURATE crime info online because alot of the suburbs don’t report their numbers to the major websites. Out of the ones I mentioned above… any to stay away from or our they all pretty safe (from a local’s perspective)… not based solely on numbers. I’m looking for safe, conservative area to raise a fam.
I just bought a house in Easley, but I specifically looked for the outdated, never updated old home. I will NEVER live in a new construction knowing what I know about construction. Ill take an old house and make it my own. Plus I cant do the cookie cutter HOA karen neighborhoods.
Well said Andy, I’ve lived in Fort Myers for 28 years and the cons are starting to out number the pros. Hurricane Ian was brutal, one year ago today actually! I could cash out here and live debt free in Easley, very tempting…

good luck finding somewhere not populated. the human species is expanding way too fast.
Go to Greenville We are full in Easley.
It feels like people are going to Easley because Greenville is pushing them that way.
everyone in every city says youre too full. You dont know what too full means.
😂😂😂
Moving to Greenville next year when I retire from the AF… Easley, Piedmont, Simpsonville are most likely… can I get anything nice for 300-350?
You can! It won't be a mansion, but you can get something nice for sure. Love to help you when you're ready!

@@RandomBoxingGuy I think from those 3, the general consensus would be Simsonville, but there are nice parts of all 3.
I’m looking to Rent in Simpsonville or Easley and buy in Simpsonville

As a Miamian facing an insurance crisis, regular hurricanes, and $400/sf homes, I see no cons to moving to SC 😂
Come on up! I'd be happy to help. :D
@@HomesoftheUpstate I may well hit you up in a year. My buddy is a broker in Walhalla tho so he's likely my first choice 🌴
