I’m sorry....but as a veteran when I returned from tour my spouse had an affair and moved out before I got home.....was I destroyed? Yes I was....but he wasn’t happy....neither was I....he made a choice.....not the best time I agree but everyone deserves to be happy....anyway, 13 yrs later we have a great family....we have a 4 almost 5 yr old grandson....we don’t live close but I try to send pics to keep them, keeping them updated and enjoying him the best they can....it took my grandson to truly accept them....the more people he has to love him as well as my children, the better.❤️

I was thinking the same thing like I see and hear the hurt.
My parents divorced 13 years ago. I was only 10. My dad would always bring us breakfast before he picked me up on the weekends and ask my mom if she needed any extra money for the week. Seeing them still be friends (I’m sure they secretly wanted to kill one another) for the sake of us kids changed my outlook on divorce and how it doesn’t have to be the worst thing.

The London based singer who has a daughter with Swizz Beatz is Zhanna Adrianova who is Russian. Apparently Alicia flew with Swizz to London for the maternity test. Zhanna and Swizz have a daughter Nicole Dean.

Same, I'm not trying to judge her or swizz but I feel really bad for Mashonda, even though she seems cool with them, you can tell she is still really hurt. It's good there getting along for the kids sake but Adultery is up there with Murder-aint no coming back from that, I think mashonda should have told them, "I see who you are so therefore we will co-parent from afar". The way I see them though has forever changed. It's just truly sad. But I wish them all the best.

We're in the process of this. 8 years, no communication, failed attempts, were finally starting to come together. This year will be our first Christmas with my step son, he'll meet his grandma and great grandma, his half sister, I'm going crazy trying to make sure everything's perfect this week lol.

Is it me or am I the only one seeing this differently. If your spouse cheats on you with a person whom you know, knew you were married; then somewhere down the line decides to say “hey, let’s just forget the past and be a blended family”, I’m not to sure how healthy this idea is for the children. I’m sorry but I’m not buying the warm singing and bright smiles. This is how television manipulates and influences. There is nothing more powerful for a child to see than his or her BIOLOGICAL PARENTS honoring their vows and staying together till death due them part. This whole inspiring blended families idea is not normal and can give kids the wrong idea as to the commitments they are to make to those whom they marry. If I’m not mistaken, the story goes Alicia Keys stepped into Swiss and his ex wife’s marriage and helped tear their family apart. The ex wife was hurt by that for years obviously. Now they are playing this role of happiness, smiles and blended unity. No way am I buying this. If I cheated on my wife and she stayed bitter towards me behind it for years, of course I’m going to want her to eventually just accept what’s happened and move on. I’m the one who cheated. However, that doesn’t take away from how my infidelity effected her. I feel the ex has somehow now given in to Alicia and Swiss’s celebrity and has simply decided to enjoy the ride. But don’t get on national television and attempt to make what’s happened or happening in your family seem normal. The gullible may buy into this but those who are wise can see right through this. I do believe in unique situations husbands, ex and current wives coming together in harmony may work out or fall into place in a good way. But pretending it should be a norm is just not a good idea.

You’re right, there’s nothing normal about this because the norm is to pamper the anger and bitterness ABOVE the well being of the children. What happened was wrong. Dead wrong. Does that mean though that these couples should not move ahead and try to do better. You age, mature, live and hopefully learn. Forgiveness is powerful. We don’t know the personal conversations these people have had. I’m sure apologies and confessions and complete honesty and ownership had to take place to get to this point. Would it be better for them to remain enemies and not come together for the sake of their children? If you’re going to put the children first, you have to go ALL the way. You can’t fake it. Kids are perceptive. Even Jesus offers redemption , who are we to withhold it?
They were definitly right about the not thinking ahead thing, and about the grandkids. It’s one thing to accept a stepchild, but a stepchild grandchild(s)as well! My parents did this with my half-sister’s kids...and our family is all the better for it.

I think ppl are a bit taken back and perplexed about their relationship. It’s awesome they came together. I don’t think people are saying it’s strange because they are “mean” or “negative”, people are picking up on their vibes which has strange undertones. It would seem less strange if they transparent about their “partnership” - they are in a poly relationship... and it’s TOTALLY ok if it works for them. It’s just misleading to some.
