Something undeniably charming about this Scandinavian boysband, the song is really catchy and just right amount of cheesy - brings a smile to my face. Understandable top10 result for Sweden.
A worthy 7th place, but for me it deserved a bit upper, like a top 5.
As a Swede, we don’t really consider them a “boy band” (I know they are a all male group but you’ll see) but more of a “dansband” which is also a special genre of music. To this kind of music you often dance bugg (a type of dance) together with a partner.

Wonderful entry from Sweden! Nostalgic tune, reminds a bit of "Summerlove Sensation" by the Bay City Rollers. Deserved a place in the top 5 in my opinion. Still love it in 2017!

I'm the first to admit that the contest needed modernization in the late 90s. I'm a big supporter of the free language rule. But the same way that artists and composers have the right to chose which language they want to sing in, they should also be given the choice how the music should be performed. Today all instrumentalists on stage have to mime and pretend playing. That has nothing to do modernization, that's musical castration.

In Sweden whidly considered to be in the top 5 best ESC entries we ever sent. A few other songs aspire to be top 5, like 1968, 1974, 1983, and 2012 would be the usual suspects.

It's a crime that this is the only time they've made it to ESC. 2021 really should have been their year.
Well, no, it would be a poor placement if they ended up in Eurovision these days. At the time they were considered to be a boyband more than dansband. They simply wouldn’t do well since they are these days a true dansband.
Still think their 2021 song would have done better than Tusse. That song was horribly cliched, and while I liked Tusse he was rather out of his depth. Arvingarna are so experienced now they can't do a bad performance.

Great song... for ESC it's a very catchy tune, in my opinion. I'd put it at least a top 5, but listening to it now it seems to me to be a top 3 or just the winners. No doubt they are swedish as their looking is.

Yes, I loved it back then and it just popped back into my head so had a look on UA-cam.
Although having recorded all the Eurovisions since 1963, I didn't take much interest in the 1993 Contest, as it happened just two months after my mother passed away. However, I recently came across this song again via UA-cam, and is now one of my all-time favourites - and I sing it (badly) in Swedish, too.

Sorry Mister. I have to tell you that's it 's your view here that's dated. The truth is that most artists and composers thinks it's a great honour to perform with a live orchestra. And the orchestra has, off course, to be up to date. With all the technical possibilities we have today, with synthesizers, keyboards there is no problem to make the performance sound like the recording, or even better.

I don't think anyone would refer to esc in the 80s and 90s as a radio show. (it's must be the 50s you're thinking about) But just leave the old days. Let's talk about today. I believe your view is dated because you have not thought about that an orchestra in 2012 could be put together in a different way than in 1994. EBU made the terrible mistake by ditching the orchestra instead of modernizing it. I'm reapeting it, almost all music can be played live if the band is put together the right way
