Lake Superior River Fishing | Backpacking | 4runner Overlanding

Later in the season, taking a 2000km road trip, I ventured in my 4runner along the isolated coast of lake superior in search of salmon and trout. Countless rivers flow into the ice cold waters of superior, which provides numerous species of migratory fish that will run up the river systems.
The trip included a mix of exploring 4x4 roads along with backpacking one of the premier rivers in the north coast area. This was later portion of the fall season, which can be rough weather and even sometimes includes snow. Those who seek, must be geared for wet and cold conditions to enjoy. Overall I cannot recommend enough the drive along the trans Canada from Thunder Bay to the Soo in the fall season just for the scenery, especially along Lake Superior PP.

Just a note to say mad respect for your editing with so many amazing angles and shots to choose from. Some but not many folks know how much effort it takes to do this whilst canoeing and hiking!

Good stuff....try using a kayak paddle with your canoe against current/wind.
