Early in our marriage we lived in a 100 year old farm house (it turned a hundred years old the month we moved in to it)... It had no heat or air. The rooms were gigantic and the floors, walls, and ceilings were tongue and groove pine. Our house before that was $425 per month and we moved to the farm house because it was so much cheaper ($325/month) but you could literally see the ground through the spaces in the floor boards. We were dead broke, but still to this day, it's been my most favorite house we've ever lived in. It was cold and there was hardly enough money to feed our kid or us, but it was a really happy house. All that said, instead of syrup on your chicken and waffles, try chicken gravy. That's what I grew up on and it'll change your life. Merry Christmas and we adore both of y'all. ❤️

We make egg nog too! So good! We also put together a fancy charcuterie board to snack on, on Christmas Eve while we watch Christmas movies and put a puzzle together. We also make gingerbread houses. Holiday traditions are the best!

Christmas eve our family does the pickle gift . You hide a pickle ornament on the tree and the first person to find it gets a small gift. It's a tradition that has been in my family for years and I've continued it with my own kids. It's fun
