the added plus of going with the chrome lined barrel is that if you use surplus ammo that is corrosive the barrel will be less affected by it, if you think the cosmoline smells bad think of the stench when the guy was gas cutting the receiver, it must have been over powering, looks like a nice project
I've got a video up on my channel that features an M70/M72 receiver from Childers. It really turned out well. I like that you can pick your own serial number to match the kit.
@@Brycesteinhoff so, quick follow-up, AoA is making good on it, I sent them an email about it, the replied apologizing and sent me a return label to get it back to them to get it fixed! Thanks again for pointing that out.
you will have to send it back, sling swivel is at wrong side, and there is no easy way to fix that. Both front sight block and the gas block has to be pressed off the barrel then pressed in again and most likely the pin holes will get egged, they already egged the front one and you can see the punch mark in the center of the both pins, that is to widen the pin to fill in oval shape hole

I'm new to your channel although I've seen a couple of your videos. I'm somewhat dubious of that kit. It appears that some parts have newer cosmoline on them and others have what looks like cosmoline after it is decades old and is darker and caked on. Cosmoline that is relatively young is brown and more smooth and gelatinous. The electro penciled parts were likely not done in YUGOSLAVIA (edited for the DB's lol). They stamped parts or punched numbers into them. Electro penciling was likely done as the kit was headspaced with a new barrel. Which explains why the trunnion is not numbers matching. The original trunion was not salvageable or was discarded completely in the new barrel add-on. It's an interesting kit with potentially some neat history but I'm not sure if $1,000 is worth the price of admission. Arms of America has a pretty good rep, however these days a lot of companies that used to have good reps are price gouging because of the last vestiges of high profit margins. The new administration may, and I stress may, change the rules of importation. By the way, I kind of like the smell of cosmoline but I'm one who started going to gun shows when I was six and getting my hands all gooey when I didn't know any better. What part of Arkansas are you in?
The electro pencil are typically production numbers. The serial number for the firearm would have been on the right side of the receiver. Yes, Yugoslavia love cosmoline definitely did the right thing buying the original.
That's a beautiful kit! Thanks for sharing this with us.

@@chrisgosling6083 lol, thanks, I totally agree!
The Serbs love the electro pencil. My M85 kit had them to.
@EdmondSeely they sure do lol.
Yeah i think the Zastafa part is cool 🎉
Lots of really nice parts there !
@RUSTYSURPLUS yes sir!
I love AOA and Andrew is a good dude been doing business with them going back to 2014!
@EdmondSeely awesome, yeah, I've had good experiences with them so far!
I sure miss cheap kits. This one is steep priced.
@shawnoandrew it is expensive, but the premium to get a headspced barrel to make the build easier, I think is worth it.

@rabbitholereviews very cool, I'll be sure and check it out!
They put your sling swivel on the wrong side

What you saw is a torch mark is actually a spot wild where they spot whale the receiver to the trunion just like in the rear.
@simonerubino52 thanks for pointing that out!
That's so overly AWSOME!!!! CONGRATS,,,BUT,,,IM JEALOUS!!!!
@garywatkins5533 thanks!
Would like to see some of your builds .
@firchkn7932 as soon as I get some done lol, I'd be more than happy to share.

that parts kit is not Romanian, lol. electro pencil numbers are ignored on Yugo kits, that is well known

You do know that Zastava is importing the M72 RPK.
